    No where in the pts patch notes did it state that recog will drop more often to warrent 1000 recogs for travel powers. Or even 100 for costume parts.
    Also, apperently snakebucks and other recogs only stack to a max of 1000. You might want to change that.
    I always thought that snakebucks were to much, but seriously? 250 to 750 per costume part?

    A general comment.

    This is a massive patch, with balance, content and power changes. It will require substantial time invested by players to test and provide feedback.

    I would suggest that we be given assurance that it will not be pushed out prior to that feedback being reviewed and implemented - say at least a couple weeks, perhaps more - as nothing frustrates the testing community more than finding that they're being both pushed to a deadline and subsequently finding all the time they spent was essentially wasted.

    You might want to increase the cap on recognition; you currently can't get more than 1,000 of any type.

    -Along with the PVP perception mod, adding an Avoidance mod to the PVP vendor would be a nice addition.

    -200 is a HUGE jump in pricing for Heroic Gear as well as other costume pieces. Even an increase to 100 would be substantial, please considered cutting the pricing down significantly.

    BUG/typo: Particle absorption core
    causes you to be more resilient to particle type damage
    +10% particle damage

    same problem with Electricity and energy cores- should say damage resistance

    ok having read the rest of the defensive mods. could you add in the word resistance, so it doesn't look like you're adding damage on a defensive mod because people will read those as extra damage and there is one with extra damage. They will then complain when they buy the wrong ones.

    Well, the notes say there are going to be new ways of getting SCR so I don't think it is incredibly devastating, but it is quite a raise in prices for the gear. This is especially because there is new gear which takes both 200 SCR and 200 Gold CR so... I dunno. The prices just seem high (even moreso for the costume pieces which have also been bumped up to 200).

    Please reconsider the changes to prices in the recognition store, particularly the SCR stuff. 200 instead of 35 AND nerfing how much we can get per day in the same patch is ridiculous.

    Currently on live we get 2 or 5 SCR per mission with none for the main daily = 16 per day (There's always exactly two missions that give 5 SCR, with the rest giving 2) = A piece of Heroic gear every two days, with one SCR left over each time. Six days for a full set.
    With the changes currently on test we get 1 per mission and 3 for the daily = 9 per day = a piece of Heroic gear every twenty-two days. Sixty-six days for a full set. Per character, in a game that despite the devs' best efforts to the contrary still encourages alts.

    That's over two months running every day for three pieces of gear. That's even more ridiculous than the current much maligned setup of rampages, especially when you consider that Heroic gear isn't even that good compared to newer items. For a long time now it's been what people get at maximum level if they don't want to grind forever for the best stuff. Making it even more of a grind is just silly.

    Not sure if this is the right thread, however, a buff to the strength of the the perception mods may be in order. Currently, to see through a rank 3 teleport travel power, you would need 150 Int and 2 rank 9 perception mods. You also still have no chance seeing through smoke grenade regardless of how much Int you stack with the mods.

    Can we get rid of Acclaim altogether and instead use silver tokens as a pvp reward instead please? There's absolutely no need to separate PvP and PvE rewards-wise. And really, those Acclaim rewards are pretty useless.
    May be stop purposefully hindering PvP playerbase already or you enjoy watching players who like PvP leave your game nonstop, reducing the $ income from your game like that?

    So many things added that I feel should have been in the game since On Alert went live.

    I have some serious complaints though about the prices on everything. Drifter Salvage, Questionite, and Silver Rec. Silver Rec costumes makes sense but considering Q and DS prices these are insane!

    Please stop ignoring the fact that accounts have multiple characters in regards to these Bind on Equip prices!

    Silver Rec prices go up but Silver Rec goes down for the main content to get it in? Why discourage players from playing UNITY?​​

    come on, the prices have been TOO LOW from the start. Recognition stuff- getting one character to 40 doing missions and you have most of the stuff.
    6 x 40 mins to get 3 max level gear. way too easy. and that's only using UNITY 1.
    People are going to have to actually leave Ren center and go farming. What a shock for themnormal-14.gif

    SOLUTION: Make all recognition account bound.Stored in a second section of your inventory for account totals instead of personal totals.
    Otherwise, it's just saying make one character and use that one.
    The more alts you have , the more it's scattered all over but the more you will want to get.
    The higher the prices, the less characters you will want to level because you will be farming on one main but with less characters. less reason to get more stuff.​​

    200 tokens for heroic gear? 1,000 tokens for costume pieces? This isn't a korean grinder, and raising those prices isn't going to encourage people to grind justice gear or buy keys. That's just going to drive the price for heroic gear and costume pieces up on the AH (For those who are willing to go through that pita grind).

    If you're going to raise the cost of the Travel powers to 1,000 as well some of them need to be buffed. (Bat flight for instance)

    For Silvers who don't have access, or others who just don't have time, it seems grossly unfair that they haven't been allowed to see potential changes to items.

    They deserve a chance to both discuss these changes as well as to be informed about them so they can decide what is worth purchasing as massive price changes have already hit the live auction house.

    Thus, I'm posting this list after a couple hours of very tedious work, and I would respectfully but strongly suggest that it shouldn't have been left to a player to do so. I'll leave it to someone else to post the lockbox contents and frequency, which I suspect is close to the typical rare item in a box.

    I think it's much better to let us buy Distinguished gears with acclaim. Getting heroic gear with silver recognition tokens is much faster and easier than farming acclaim, so I don't know why HEROICs are there. Also it would give PVPers an option to grind for money, as we did back then.

    toooldforthis, you missed UNTIL recog, which I think is the one with the 2 empyrean costumes now.
    UNTIL- has lemurian, demons, empyrean, bull skull and moose skull.
    I can't recall seeing the nephilim though. Mind you, some got removed which duplicated veteran rewards.
    Distinguished gear is BOP same as Justice gear. so no, you're not farming it to sell.​​

    - 200 Silver Rec (bind on Pickup) for Heroics is absurd! WTF!!! Typo?!! I'm not doing that ever...
    - UNITY SR drop-rate makes doing its missions even less appealing now...
    - You might as well consider changing the game's name to Grinders Online...
    - I liked that Vikorin dropped the old mod cores, spiced things up a little, a pity...

    Agreed, farming for top end gear is fine, but lower gear tiers should be much faster.

    Servitor Serum has been removed from the Consumables area of the Silver Champions Vendor. Put it back, please, as it's one of the few ways to make rampages palatable for ATs or characters without a self-rez. You don't want to give people more reasons not to play those missions.

    Increasing the the cost of Heroic Gear x5 is ludicrous unless you're making SCR drop like confetti. The answer to "What Do I Do At Level 40" is not "grind madly for gear of moderate utility".

    Maybe Teleios Gadget should buff all Technology damage similar to Red Eye buffs all Martial Arts power.

    Electricity is kinda self-sufficient set, you can make DPS 100% of it, but gadgeteering has probably Pulse Beam Rifle only viable DPS power (also strafing run, but it's kinda nerfed).

    - Silver Champions Recognition token drops have been reduced from Unity missions. Unity Missions should give 1 and the main daily should give 3.

    So UNITY 1 and 2 are gonna be downgraded... freaking perfect, so WHAT IS the point of doing UNITY 1 AND 2 now? Waste Time?

    the old core mods, despite the writing on them, were not fuseable. The new ones supposedly are and go up to rank 9.​​

    Quick comments and observations...

    Silver Champion Recognition Store
    • Great! The addition of On Alert costume pieces, Not so great: 1000SCR a piece! With the on alert items being moved to the store, does this mean these items are now exclusive to the stores? For example, we will no longer have the change to get Valerian Epic Halo while doing alerts.
    • Some Drifter Legacy devices; Nice that they are still available I'll give that one. Not so great 1000SCR a piece!
    • No Open World Costumes available for SCR. I'm guessing the Nephilim ones should have gone here, but they are missing from all store upgrades.
    • Until Quartermaster's Store items require a combination of recognition, in most cases both GCR/SCR; combinations of 250/250, 200/200, 100/100, 25/50 and 1/1 - acknowledges that these prices are not final and still subject to changes.
    • Secondary purple gear - I hope this does not lead to a decrease in drop rate in open word.
    Q Store
    • Why not add the viper collar to the Costumes since we are including open world costumes here.

    • WHAT!! Heroic gear is 200SCR a pop? Waaay too expensive. As an altaholic who can't afford to chase legion/justice gear for each character, heroic was the go-to option. This seems no where near possible now at that price.
    Observations:
    There appears to be quite a number of items competing for SCR. I believe this will cripple game play. Already we saw that with the Christmas event people suffered from "grind" exhaustion to collect charms and components.

    If the expectation is that by increasing the price, it will encourage more gameplay grind, this may lead to the opposite effect and gamers may not even want to try for items.
    I hope it will be raining SCR all over open world to counteract the prices.

    • Awesome work with the Drifter Legacy items, you can go right for what you need.
    • Great stuff with the cooldowns!
    • Cool rewards in the GCR store!
    • SCR reliance is way too heavy and the prices too high!
    • Up the cap on Recog and make it account bound as mentioned earlier
    Now to try out some of that new stuff!

    Update: Could not find recog currency to buy and test new stuff. Can you add recog currency packs to the deugger store? Ans: Sits under "bug-fix and retest" option for anyone looking.... duh!

    The Winter event grind was put in just after we had done the Nighthawk and Blood moon grinds, which came after they gave us the Onslaught grind.

    The grind exhaustion is only going to get worse if these prices remain the same.

    Yay:
    • New version of an oft skipped Lair. More of this.
    • Removing some of the randomness of acquiring legacy stuff.
    • More things to buy for Questionite. This was sorely needed.
    Nay:
    • New currency. We already have 5 billion different currencies for various things. NO MORE CURRENCIES.
    • New prices of Heroic gear + Lowered daily rewards from UNITY. One of the draws of CO for me is the fact that you can get good endgame gear without having to pay a lot of real cash or grinding for several months. Heroics are not good enough to be a ~1 month grind per piece (8 per daily set, 200 per piece = 25 days). Especially when you also need SCR to get the Distinguished stuff.
    • Strike Force shop relies on both SCR and GCR. If you absolutely have to introduce a new currency, don't make the items you can buy with it also require an old currency. Especially when you massively increase the cost of the items you could buy with that currency.
    I do not mind that there's something worthwhile to grind for that doesn't appear to take up massive amounts of luck. I do mind that old stuff that didn't have a massive grind is going to get gated behind a massive grind.

    Servitor Serum has been removed from the Consumables area of the Silver Champions Vendor. Put it back, please, as it's one of the few ways to make rampages palatable for ATs or characters without a self-rez. You don't want to give people more reasons not to play those missions.

    Whoa, is it available anywhere else? This is really not a good thing as it was one of the only ways to revive and one of the only reasons for fully geared people to get SCR. Please put it back!

    l'm excited about new update, but fact that drift gambling gonna be stripped from CO is kinda sad. It's one of funniest things in game ATM lMO. That device kit for 40 DS, which has chance to drop 2 random devices, that either might be great or might be meh. But in average they made reasonable prices for legacy devices. Now they becoming harder to obtain. So b4 update 1000 G is average price for lizards, now they 250 DS, which's equivalent to 2500 G. Necru's even worse since 400K Q is equivalent to 1200 Z. So literally to setup necru defense you hafta spend same moolah as on FF Slot itself (discount price). Note, that Medic Drone MK3 costs 300K Q, and you need purchase it only once per account to put on flagmann vehicle, then run rampage on it w different toons, but devices're bound, therefore plz put 2-3 necrus on each of them, that seems to be huge ripoff & strongly smells pay-to-win. Necru 1000 G -> 3500 G, Dinos 1000 G -> 2500 G, NEPG 500 G -> 3500 G, IG 500G -> 2500 G that's are probably as huge price increase as heroics.

    I think it's reasonable, considering you can simply buy heroic gear from the auction house. You can buy Legion as well.

    The reason the prices for Heroic are affordable to a lot of people (about 100Gs) is because it only cost 35 SCR. Once it cost 200 SCR, you will not be seeing much of it, and Legion will by extension be more rare as people think, "If I'm spending 400-500Gs on Heroic gear, might as well get legion".

    Currently you can get Legion on AH anywhere between 200G-800G depending on the piece you need. If checked often enough you can get a good deal.

    I'd like to assume since not much has changed for lockboxes, then prices won't change much. But as pointed out above, the price of Legion will simply increase as a result of the hike in Heroic.

    Also, obtaining Gs during gameplay has decreased. Since the hourly events have turned to weekly events I've only seen 1 resource week. The resource hours with resource boosts combo was great for accumulating Gs.
    I don't like Sigs, but I'll leave this here anyway. At least I'm not to trying to hypnotise you with moving things!

    I slept on it and still think that device prices in the Drifter and Q store are wildly inconsistent. Don't make them cost up to 250 DS and 400k Q respectfully. Make all devices the same price at 40-50 DS and 50k Q each.​

    Lower prices means more sales which means more profit overall. Make it something all players can afford.

    I'm actually perfectly fine with the Recog price changes since concerning Onslaught vendor system and rate of token gain turned out to be pretty fair! Well except for the devices which seems extortion. Again think about players with multiple characters. Your biggest sales points should be buying multiple characters, not charging the price of full games for a single device for ONE character.​​

    The saving grace of all this depends on what the future ways of obtaining more SCR are. If we are going to be getting a lot more SCR than just dailies and unity missions, then I am fine with it. Otherwise, the prices are not just kinda high, they are exorbitant.

    Corrected current/former pricing. FYI, it's a lot more helpful to provide an actual list of omissions or errors than say 'it's wrong', since the latter generally leads to people not spending 3 hours putting together a list in the first place.

    Fair criticism and my apologies on that. I couldn't get into the game right then but I knew I had seen some of those already.

    I have to leave my own feedback regarding the price changes to Heroic gear and the changes to Silver Champions Recogition generation.

    As someone pointed out up-thread, previously we earned 16 + small bonus SCR per day in Unity dailies, and the cost of a Heroic gear item was 35, so 105 per set and six days of unity dailies with the daily special mission completed for a full set. This was a great way to set up a newly 40 character in passable primaries, so long as you also had gathered the mods you needed for your gear as well [or had them stockpiled like most of us vets].

    I can't help but feel as if two different people who weren't aware of one anothers' changes worked on the SCR alterations.

    Someone increased the price of each SCR gear item to 200 from 35 [which is already in itself a ludicrous increase of SIX TIMES the previous cost [well, x 5.714 to be exact].

    Someone also decreased the amount of SCR we can earn in unity by half. Instead of 16+ 2-3, it's now 5 + 3 for a total of 8 per day.

    And while I think the second change isn't such a big deal, especially if other new sources of SCR come raining down in copious amounts, the first one is a game changer. And not in a good way.

    If both are indeed intended and go on to live, it will take 25 days of full unity plus special, all six missions run to completion, to exactly afford a single piece of heroic gear, and 75 days for a full set for a newly level forty character.


    That's a change of from six days to seventy-five days to get a new level 40 character into his starter set of heroic primaries.

    Was it really intended that the time to get into starter primary gear go up by multiplying the time and effort required by over twelve times?



    Please let this be some kind of miscommunication error, because... well, it's just terrible, let's leave it at that.

    I'm a seven year veteran, and I've been here since September of 2008 in the friends and family Alpha test. If the grind had been this tough in the past, I don't think I'd have remained all this time.

    Increasing the the cost of Heroic Gear x5 is ludicrous unless you're making SCR drop like confetti. The answer to "What Do I Do At Level 40" is not "grind madly for gear of moderate utility".

    This!!! I've been lauding the virtues of packing along Servitor Serum to the skies for all my fellow Rampagers for months. It's a must-have! Please put it back in for the very reasonable price of 3 SCR.

    And while you're at it, how about removing the RNG from the Rampage Token equation altogether? No one likes it, with the possible exception of one PWI executive. And maybe his mom. Let us instead grind reliably towards a reliable, quantifiable investment.

    The rate of SCR gain in the game has gone up recently because they added SCR drops to the cosmics and the level 40 lair bosses, but I don't see the reason for reducing the gain from UNITY.

    The rate of potential gain might have gone up, but that doesn't mean everyone is prepared to run a full set of UNITY missions + lvl 40 lairs (which are far more difficult and time consuming) every day for a month to get a set of Heroic Gear. That's not much fun - and it's the fun part of the game which keeps people coming back. They'll just go for Mercenary Gear, which is available for peanuts from the Auction House, and which has just been made cheaper in the Q store. Sometimes efforts to force people to play more result in them playing less.

    As far as the change to SCR costs for Heroic gear, I can understand price changes but both raising the price and lowering earnings shouldn't have happened at the same time. I feel that the more problematic of the two is changing UNITY missions since it feels like the missions are being misunderstood. Not all UNITY missions are created equal and it would make more sense to adjust each accordingly instead of nerfing them across the board. There are a few missions that may be worth too much at the moment but that's countered by a few that are worth too few SCR. This change also seems to ignore that some missions are hard to get to (Lemuria caves, Whisper herself for starting UNITY 2) nor does it seem to take into account some of the bugs that can permanently lock a character out of UNITY 2 and/or glitch the UNITY variants of those missions. I suggest resetting the mission SCR rewards to back what they were and then taking a finer look at just what each requires for completion and then adjust rewards accordingly. Then some bug fixing if not outright mission restructuring is needed for part of the UNITY 2 missions, even if it's simply making them repeatable dailies so they can be dropped and reacquired if they glitch.

    I have it on good authority there are no plans to increase the cap, and while people might think it needs raising, it really doesn't matter. Nobody is going to be stocking up 1k SCR or GCR with prices being really high and the rate of gaining the tokens not going to accidentally take you over the cap.

    These changes just make me think I'm way too poor to be making videos for this game. Some of you guys that can afford to buy boat loads of keys to sell on the AH every week can step up and do some videos. All this grinding to do stuff for videos on top of paying for a weekly CC and picking up fun stuff for my toon is just making me not want to play the game at all.
