It'd be nice if the +35% WAS +35% I popped the one I have on my Odyssey and I went from 8.8 deg/sec to 9.8 deg/sec. By my math, that's only an 11% increase in turning not 35% 35% would be 11.9 deg/sec
My engine power was at 50. I have the Aegis engine. So, not sure how that effects things. So are you saying the base turn rate is 2.86 deg/sec? Cause that's what 1 deg/sec is 35% of.
You skipped most of the Romulan front mission? Anyway, as long as I've played Science Team has never cleared their Viral Matrix. Maybe you need ST3? This is the reason why even my engineers fly non-cruisers. Or something simple like higher of +35% or +2.
Exactly Zob, to add insult to injury the turnrate consoles are % based and virutally worthless. With 4 of them at 35% you go from 10 to like 13 degrees per second thats pathetic for how much armor/etc other stuff you lose for those 4 slots. Make high end mk10+ consoles for RCS atleast +5 degrees per sec and simply make…
A good way of dealing with the RCS consoles would be to assign them two conditional values. For example, for torpedoes I think it's like "Incapacitate 10% crew or 10 crew, whichever is smaller". So, for RCS consoles it could be like "The highest between +35% turn rate or +3.5 degrees per second". The basis for the flat…
Part of the problem is that people who get the most benefit from RCS Accelerators are the ones who need them the least and they're generally not considered worth the loss of defense as a result. Now... My math may not be perfect but I think we'd see a major improvement (with a minor performance loss for extreme outliers --…
The best I got with the Odyssey when I tested it... (ship base value - Turn Rate 6 degrees per second) 1 MkX Impulse Engine (Stock) 4 Mk11 RCS Consoles (+35% turn rate each) Captain with +100 in the Impulse Engine skill Captain with +100 in Engine Performance Ship Engine power set to 114/100 (Maximum available) ...was 14.8…
I am all for it, ther should be a way to give cruisers a better turn rate. However not as much as Sci vessels but enough to make them fun to fly. Personally i find it very frustrating to fly a cruiser. I just don't get where the fun is suposed to be in flying a ship thats so slow turning like a galaxy Class in this game...…
I am all for that, but obviously the devs are not interested in doing that. I am just puzzeling, why do the the devd think that flying a ship with the turn rate of a small moon has something to do with fun? I don't say that Cruisers should get turn rates similar to escorts. But just look at tier 2 Cruisers, why can't…
