Same. Got to the Cryptic loading screen when I had to task manager kill the game. The launcher error had popped up after launching the game apparently.

Just an update as to what I was doing in game at the time. My first crash was just me and a friend chatting in sector space next to P'jem. Second was when i was in Earth space dock tailor making a costume. Third was just standing next to my friend at the tailor.........again just chatting. All three times the crash report…

I'm in the same boat here buddy. Put 138 hours into the game the last 2 weeks according to steam. Played no problem. After patch today...........constant crashing every 10-20 minutes or so.
