Found a fix: Uninstall the game trough steam, afterwards, go to the steamapps/common folder and delete the star trek online folder. Next reinstall & start star trek online, let it patch. The issue "Unable to start game client: client quit unexpectedly." still persist, for me this started happening after the latest patch. Tried launching the game trough steam and as standalone client, both fail to launch when connecting to the account server. Also forced to verify all files as the others in this thread.
Maybe if it was some kind of gold-plated super armor with tons of great mods, then yea, but this stuff looks like they took it out of a dumpster(at least the 23c maco) and no extra mods whatsoever. I will never ever buy it.
I agree with the OP, the current system is not able to transfer current builds. I tried it on Tribble and noticed considerable DPS loss compared to my current setup. If we are unable to port our current builds into this new system we clearly get the short end of the stick.
Its not about getting stuff for playing a episode Its about the amount of time spend on the game. aka playtime. You can find the amount of time spend gaming by writing /played in the chat
It's just another big mistake by cryptic in a long line of mistakes and absolute failures. I played this game for years, and since delta rising the game went downhill and with every patch it becomes worse. It has gotten to a point where I just stopped playing.
