Yeah, you CAN unlock any mission from start, after tutorial, but this require flying around three sectors on warp 5. Not so easy actually. Generally, this is an improvement, yet still there is some annoyances, like unskippable New Romulus intro, and other meaningles introductions to things you have seen so many times…
Well, thanks. I figured it out, but this is a completely obscured knowledge. Still i have not tried yet to skip an "endgame" missions by low lvl character, to have access to previously played missions, but it doesn't seem possible, and even if it is, it still requires quite a lot of flying and running around, because not…
Point is, it was possible to skip most of an early game content if your level high enough, now it's not. This is bad. Very bad. For example my fed romulan did Dyson arc, but not Borg Advance arc, and now can't progress to Delta arc without completing borg Arc. Logic fails... And age of discovery is accessible by all toons.
Forum deleted my response during edit, again... This only works for a toon that done all arcs already, bur previously Dyson, Future Proof, Cardassian Sruggle and New Romulus content were accessible without completion of an early game content, just had a level requirement. Current situation forces my Jem Hadar toon to start…
Yes, NPC have a habit to do crippling damage, especially if you flying a regular tier 3-4 ship with junk equipment, which is most likely if you are new. I had many troubles in the past, when my best ship was a t5 cruiser, and i had to handle several romulan warbirds. Shields breaks too fast, and then some torp always crits…
This should be optional. It's not like nothing will change just because YOU don't want changes. It may not change for a while just because devs have other priorities. From every perspective it's just like ship/character costumes, nothing more. There even 23 century FX already present. If those exists, why something else…
Well, that doesn't mean there shouldn't be an option. Yes you can use same weaponss on all slots to make it identical, but that doesn't work with omni beams. If you decide to use that, it will always look like rainbow. Also it is a significant dil/ec sink.
Read above. I want to use same dmg type sets without firing multicolored bolts and beams. That's looks lame, like not using those sets in favor of same weaps.
This may be restricted for same dmg type. And phasers do look like disruptors if you use bio-moleculars, or polaron if you use quantum phase. Same with blue disruptors and and yellow polarons. Space sets is what really cocerns me. Like if i use 2 sets and some "vanilla" weapons, it looks like christmas tree... This is not…
I have enjoyed the show and look forward for a new expansion, but please, dump DIS klingon appearance! Make them more klingon-like if you wish. Anything. Dude who designed this abominations should be flayed alive. Damn those "artists" who doesn't pay respect to work of others.
And by power creep/solo play focus. It may slowly degrade into a hosted singleplayer game that way, and honestly STO is not pretty enough for that, and not simple enough for an average browser-based time killer.
Lirpa is an axe with counterweight that also works like mace... Weird weapon. Polearms should have a thrust and wide slash attacks, like spears, though you won't want to slash with a spear. Probably. If you use lirpa animations for a spear (or polearm) it will feel like a staff with some unnecessary blade attachment.
I think Cryptic overdoing compensation for dil demand rise... All to make $ spenders feel pleased and spend more. Expect even more Z rate inflation with a new dilithium vouchers feature.
Reason was buried under a walls of text and mountains of pointless arguing. What about making "easy" queues open, like BZ or tholian/borg RA, leave advanced as it is, and make elite queues harder by adding random hazards like grav wells, random sequences, so you can't just follow same pattern again and again, and enemies…
If they just stay in AFK it won't help much. If that RA were more like other RA's, where ppl can join during it's progress, that may be better. But now it's just a queue, and queues is like that.
All you need is a new map with some new assets, and a new character models. Nothing to do with engine. Guess that new characters may have a custom melee attack animations as well.
Well, i would prefer using tactics and tricks to defeat much stronger foe, than watch repetitive engagements. Ground combat offers much more than space. In space enemies either swarm you, because you can't kill them fast enough, or you can kill them fast enough and win.
Sure, there is helpful people, but that have nothing to do with public queue, because there is no time to explain stuff when everyone want to finish mission as soon as possible. You can only learn from observation of your own mistakes here.
