I bought a re-spec token to see what happened. Not only did I not get back my lost HP, I also did not get back the House Pegh trait that magically disappeared after the mission.
I guess I should share my traits: --SPACE TRAITS A good day to die Ablative Shell Adaptive Offense Beam Training Bulkhead Technician Context is for Kings Fleet Coordinator Innocuous Intelligence Agent Attache Terran Targeting Systems --GROUND TRAITS Aggressive Assault Training Creative Dulce Et Decorum Est Field Technician…
Thank you for the advice! That wasn't the problem, the traits made it through. With the traits in place, I'm still some ~9k short on hp from before the t6x token; it's like I paid $10 to nerf my lockbox ship
The regular ship costs $25 plus a $5 FSM to upgrade to the fleet version. The Fleet ship costs five $5 fleet ship modules, or $25. The only thing I'd need the regular one for is the cloak, which I already have. I'm saving five bucks by not buying the regular one.
I am VERY interested in this. It seems like the PERFWCT place to get to play with two of my absolute favorite trek ships that simply can't keep up in the DPS fest that STO has become: the Mirror Heavy Cruiser and the Gal X. Would these ships be allowed as neither is strictly 'real' in the canon sense? If I was allowed to…
Dude, you can sit exactly ANYWHERE you like. The devs gave you this ability. https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1/1544529_10152185262164417_140985322_n.jpg
SUPERB... but for the Jupiter, not the Typhoon. The Typhoon is clearly the next line of Assault Cruiser, the Heavy Assault Cruiser. This could easily be the Assault Cruiser's 'final form'. I see a T6 C-store version and a Fleet version of this ship.
My Fleet Assault Cruiser is doing right at 10k dps. More than enough to carry a pug group and certainly not a liability to the pros. http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=challenger_5525
http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=challenger_5525 I expect that I'll see a little more once I upgrade my tactical consoles to Vulnerability Locators. :) The range issue is something I'm gonna try. I've habitually hung out at about 9 km for safety's sake; I had no idea that beams had a drop off like cannons. Thank…
And I must add, I'm really loving the effectiveness of this build. The last ISE I ran, I did more damage, kills and DPS than the next two best people combined. Seriously, thanks for all the help guys. This ship is a MONSTER! :D :D
Yes, I actually respecced for the Leech after I was suggessted to do so in this thread. I was doing just over 7000 when I posted this thread, about 8200 on average after the respec and with the addition of Leech, I'm sitting at an average of about 9500. With a little better pilot skills, I expect I'll crack 10k any day. :)
Plasmonic Leech seems to have REALLY helped. Just the power level buff that it provides has caused me to jump over 1000 dps on average. I'm now juuuust under 10k dps. I'm going to keep working toward the advice that you guys gave me. Thanks all!
I looked up the Omega Weapons Amplifier. VERY interesting. The main reason I pulled the KCB initially was because it seemed that running the second energy weapon type was draining my weapon power more than necessary. Once I dropped the KCB and went with the seventh beam, it seemed to rectify itself. It says 2.5% proc for…
KCB does show higher. It only fires one beam with BFAW though. Instead of one beam at 2000 dpv, the extra beam array gives me two beams at 1600 dpv plus the DEM damage.
Tried the KCB, I picked up about 1000 dps in ISE when I went with the seventh beam array. As for the skill tree, I recognize that it's less than desirable. I posted a hypothetical updated tree later in the thread. Could you please be so kind as to explain why those things that are 6-9 are a waste to do so?
I appreciate the advice! I've considered doing plasma, but my main goal is to maximize what I have now. 85% of my play is single player or random pugging, so my ability to use weapons that I like matters to me. I know plasma is king and AP queen for DPS, but I'm not wild about the cyan or Kool Aide red. I like having…
Thanks for the feedback guys! It's really working! :D I just did a parse run in ISE and got a new personal best, 8,501, with the BFAW2 and TS1. It was a fairly slow pug group at that. I was first, number two had 8200 and the other three didn't break 3000. With a good group I imagine I might have done a bit better. I've…
Thanks for the feedback, guys. :) I know the torp is hurting me, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it for the sake of immersion. I'd like to see 10k with it, even if it means I'm sacrificing 15k without it. I updated my skill tree, please have a look and tell me if this would be worth actually doing in-game. I…
The thing you don't seem to understand is that from Cryptic's point of view, this already is a C-store ship. If you want it, it'll cost you $20. Plus, you have to go through the troubles of earning it through a fleet. And yes, the VAST majority of players are in a fleet. Don't believe me? Look around the next time you're…
I'm sorry, but the Ambassador and Connie look nothing alike. If you like it and it reminds you of a Connie, then good for you. You're not gonna convince the vast majority of us that it looks like a Connie though. A fleet ship will still cost you about $20, so for all intents and purposes it is a cash shop ship. If being in…
