Current issue is that I have very sporadic connection to the game server when using no proxies, but utilizing the EU proxy nets me a stable connection, albeit with 100ms more ping than usual. Quick question though, does anyone else know if their communications are being routed through Cogentco?
Starhub got back to me, said it wasn't on their end, but they know the problem exists. The tech downloaded STO and tried it out and had the same issues. Guess all we can do is wait >_>. Wish Cryptic would do a check to see if they can do anything, I basically can't log on at all unless I'm using the EU proxy.
Could you take a look at my pathping, then? I'm having similar issues. All other connections work fine, but connecting normally to STO completely fails. I am only able to play STO by using the EU proxy, which nets me 500-700ms of ping. Further traceroutes and net test results are on my other thread in this forum. Pathping:…
I had a pretty brief period (about 2 hours) where I could connect normally, then the connection dropped completely again. Able to connect and play via the EU proxy, but with 400-700ms of lag on the ground, and 500-1200 in space combat.
Singapore player here, same issue. Posted a topic here too, but no official response so far... Try doing a pathping and seeing if there's a gateway killing your packets?
Intrinsical, have you tried running the gameserver via the EU proxy? That's temporarily solved the issues I've had with rubberbanding. Still hope the main issue will be resolved, though, as I'm basically just going around the other side of the world and adding on about 100ms of ping. I suppose there's something messed up…
Yeah, it's only been happening in the past month for me as well, and I have no issues with playing GW2 or Guns of Icarus on US servers. EDIT: Apparently, it's affecting people from here playing Neverwinter as well. EDIT no. 2.: Oddly enough, I can play the game fine if I use the EU proxy
Seems like it's affecting quite a few of us on Starhub. I'm on Starhub fibre myself. One of my fleetmates pointed out to me that we seem to be routing to a satellite connection.
Not sure if this is the same bug, but I've shared this with several people on ESD and they told me it worked: Yesterday, I logged in after a long hiatus to find that all my BOFF ability slots on my HEC were blank, and unassigned. Couldn't appear to use any of them, but the game was telling me they were occupied. What I did…
