I am not opposed to doing a mission that allows you to play in pre-modern times, and get a "primitive" weapon like a revolver or a tommy gun - even an appropriate suit unlock that goes with it. Heck, even a bow, or a big butcher's axe from the Qpid episode will do (one of the better episodes in an otherwise sucky show).
Hate is a strong word, I genuinely enjoyed the first two seasons of ToS, but I considered everything else redundant. You don't need to be a "trekkie" to enjoy the game for its variety of options and GAMEPLAY. I think SWTOR is a great MMO, even though its entire TV series leaves me cold.
Sigh... another pvp thread doomed to fail. I've said this many times, and I'll say it again. The entry level is absurdly high (thanks to Delta Rising), and the majority of slack-jawed casuals (TM) aren't willing to grind/pay/learn it. SWTOR's superior, and healthy PvP model is entirely different. You can have vibrant PvP…
I don't give a TRIBBLE about the tv series (most of them suck anyways, especially TNG), and I think the game with its own canon is much superior than any of the series. I don't want to hold hands with any fed on my main. Period. R.I.P the days when feds were still enemies with the kdf.
I find the breen cool (get it?) as hell. One man's preference is another man's bile. I don't mind an Andorian ship NEXT year, but for this year, I want to complete the 4 piece set I've been meaning to complete for a long time now. I'll leave it at that.
The general crowd in STO seems to prefer the simplistic and outdated kiddy "sci-fantasy" ship look (I hope I'm wrong though). The breen ships are closest to a mature hard sci-fi look right now. People with any real taste prefer the hard stuff of course.
The only reason I picked "slightly", is because Cryptic is not good at making radical changes. They typically botch things, so it's best to take one step at the time.
Absolutely. Having some "messed up" looking ships every now and then is refreshing. We have a billion variations of the Enterprise, so I say enough with that already (nothing against the fanboys, but those ships are way too cliché for me). Some of my favorite looking ships are: Breen ships Orion Blackguard Malon Cruiser…
If I were to make 3 toons, of each class, with the ezactly the same setup. The Tac would always come out at a higher overal dps. Period. An engineer has no Attack Pattern Alpha, Go Down Fighting (Trait enhanced), Tactical Fleet and Fire on my Mark that add up to A LOT of damage that boosts Torp, Energy AND exotic damage. I…
