Just yesterday I tried to log in about ten times, wondering why it would not take my password, until I realized I had left the game running during the maintenance and then noticed the words" version mismatch" in the corner.
Worf rigged his combadge to create a kinetic shield once. It only took a few hits, but I'm pretty sure Starfleet's finest could base a much better shield based in that contraption. So I do ot get why kinetic weapons are supposed to work any better against personal shields. The only reason the Borg in First Contact died…
Ok then. By that logic, I want a discount when I buy the T5 Defiant, because I already have the Sao Paolo. And because I have the T5 refit then, I am entitled to to discount for the upcoming T6 Valiant, right? After all they are all the same ship and it's just a money grab to have me rebuy it at every tier.
But we all knew that more T6 ships would come. That it would in a large part be additional versions of existing skins is imo a nice benefit. they could easily have gone and made entirely new ships exclusively which i would have hated. usually their best ships are looking ok in the best of cases, and horrible in the more…
It is non sensical, but if you change this, you have to change mortar turrets as well, since those are also unimpaired by walls and floors, as long as they are in general range.
It's twice as long and wide as a regular shuttle, at least runabout size, has much more powerful engines and basically full starship equipment. It doesn't have visible weapons in the pictures I could find, but those two pods between teh cockpit and the warp nacelles could easily house dual heavy cannons when opened. It has…
My 3 favourites are Alpha, Gamma and Omega. Those 3also look easily compatible to each other for customization. So I hope they make this into a 3 pack (no chance of getting one ship with just 3 costumes, right?) ;)
I find it funny how everyone interprets the designs to be on the smallish side to mistake them for escorts. Seriously, look at the alpha design, specifically at the hull inlets around the bridge dome. You can actually see rows of windos there that give a sense of the real scale. This thing will be huge!
No for the ship. It's an anniversary event ship and should stay as such. But go ahead and put the console into the Lobi Store, will be cheaper than the whole ship that way anyway.
The layout is almost a foregone conclusion. It will be similar to the Galaxy and Intrepid: Commander Tac, LC Tac/Pilot, LC Engineering, Lt Sci, universal Ensign or Commander Tac, LC Tac/Pilot, LC Engineering, Lt Universal, Ensign Tac Something along those lines. consoles: 5 tac, 3 engi, 2 sci (fleet version: +1 engi or…
Make the beta quadrant patrols dailies and make 3 wrapper missions like in the delta arc to introduce players to them. Done. And those patrols are easy compared to the delta patrols, so they will not drag as much.
I saw someone suggest the Insurrection scout ship as a new carrier pet. While that is not a full starship like a Bird of Prey or a Bug ship, it could fill this niche for the Federation nicely. It's a very beefed up, tanky runabout essentially, much more than the Yellowstone even whith better weapon capability. In…
In that shot of the show the Defiant is a bit too large. It was made that way for the same reason as the station is too big in the game. To make it look good. that picture makes the Defiant almost as big as a Galaxy class saucer. In some action scenes when it is flying around the station fighting Klingons it is much better…
And the character is referenced wrong! The Vorta in the 2800 arc says, he is not the same one, cause the earlier one did not survive his encounter with us, which is wrong. We let him get away in Rapier. This is a chance to fix that mistake by having him appear and and actually get killed.
Well, I am pretty sure that you can expect that the orb will just be a macguffin to give us a reason to go to Cardassia and Bajor in the first place. But the stint on mirror Bajor might very well introduce Mirror Leeta as the new Antagonist for teh remainder of the arc.
Not a DS9 fan, I take it? Those are heavily featured themes on the actual show. In a DS9 centric arc, those are the things to expect. Plus it is the same themes we already dealt with in the old versions of the missions. SO hardly surprising.
Oh, good point about the wormhole. I really hope we will get at some point a much more canon accurate wormhole travel scene. It won't be gameplay, because the canon wormhole is pretty boring, since there is not much in the way of maneuvering, but I finally want to see an exterior shot of my ship flying through. What we got…
The only issue I have with it, that it was quoted without much emotion. O'Brien sells it much better when he makes his quote. In the game it sounded like read from a school text book in class.
I also expect an XP loss. Even if they double or triple the XP gained from each mission compared to the old ones, it will not be enough. And then each mission will have your character likely skip a level entirely which makes for less than ideal progression. However there is an easy solution. Create or modify patrol…
It's becaue people don't think. They just shoot at anything that moves. In the beginning this works greate, but thrn each new borg wave becomes stronger until you deal with cubes in addition to spheres and probes. With that much fire it becomes difficult to ignore the hits and just free ships. And when the second phase…
Maybe it would have been a good idea to link shields not to an HP pool but directly to the power level that can and must be actively depleted to destroy an enemy. A player can choose how much power they can distribute to shields in the first place and actively distribute power from other systems if needed. But the more…
