  • If they're really doing a romulan faction, why would they make all the romulan equipment (sans ships) available to the other factions first? Seems counter intuitive to give away all the things that would make them different from the existing factions.
  • Thankfully, gameplay and game balance supersedes canon. Granted, the current balance leaves some to be desired, but just going by the canon (were the hero ship always wins eventually, no matter what) would be infinitely worse.
  • I'd love to see more from the TWOK era, both the excursion jackets in the first post of the thread and the suede bomber jacket one Kirk wore in a few scenes. The other thing is obviously more options for klingons, especially the longer coats already worn by NPCs.
  • Another thing that would change a lot is giving different ranges to different weapons. What if DHC only could shoot 5 km while beams could shoot 15?
  • Because while it's not in canon from the TV series it's well established within the game canon that there's a klingon temporal guard with their own ships (that are actually playable).
  • Developers want to divide things into class systems (trinity or other variations), because that's easier to balance. Making the Star Trek ships as flexible as they are in the TV shows would be a nightmare, they're just barely coping now when they only have three classes to balance. Free-form classes like the OP suggests…
  • I find it very hard to believe that a professional game developer would intentionally make one ship in a game worse than all the others simply to spite those who like it. The far more sane explanation is that the game balance isn't working quite like cryptic wanted it to. Based on canon it's reasonable to make the Galaxy…
  • I second this motion. Having STFs as the only source of Omega Marks is a real bore compared to how interesting all the little romulan missions are.
