Buff it's hull, resistance and shield stat and that should be more than ideal. Yeah, she's going to be slower and less easy to turn but that's a trade off for the the stat buffs.

Been thinking about this and with a proposed T6 Typhoon, I'd put the Wingman mechanic onto it much in the line of the Jem Hadar Vanguard ships Spec it for intel or Miracle Worker as well with a 5/3 layout on weapons. I'd also have near legendary level much like the Terran C-Store ships are so no need for a fleet variant
It would look great streamlined for better warp efficiency, prime could be Miracle Worker and mirror Intel. We've got the Jupiter class as a carrier so why not have the Typhoon as a purebred battleship? Use a weather related name like Hurricane class if you want to keep the weather themed names.
Their great game, the Warp itself is a very fickle thing and warp storms will shut down travel. You need a gellar field to keep the horrors out but the Warp may not let you out or put you somewhere you did not intend to be. Going through the Warp without a gellar field is not advisable unless you are an Ork named Tuska who…
The game has potential, so far I've enjoyed it. Interesting way of claiming systems as well, I might play a different Federation path and see how different decisions affect the timeline.
