Posting this here, because I didn't see a post about it in the news section. I'm a bit confused about this. Fist of all, for who is it targeted? Most of the Zen ships in it are quite old and I would assume everyone who were interested in them have got them already. Is it targeted for new players, maybe? Also, there seem to…
That may very well be the case, maybe I rewatch ST 2009 sometime. I think there are two major differences between reusing Mirandas and reusing Discovery ships: - IRL, the creation of such assets was much more time and money consuming back then, than now. - In universe, Mirandas were used for a time period, which was long…
I like it. Cross faction design opens up bunch more possibilities for ship aesthetics. What I would like even more, is a ship incorporating design elements of all the alliance members (and maybe even the dominion or cardassians). I'm also curious about the usable hull materials and the interchangeability of parts from the…
I wholeheartedly support the idea. There should be an option to tone down the visual effects, or at least a bare minimum on/off switch. There are effects in the game that are several years old and I still don't know what they do (nor do I care) and when multiple ones are spammed together, they aren't even distinguishable.…
I know it's highly unlikely, to say the least. Nevertheless, I would like to see it. I also don't see them ever serialising any of the novels, but I would still like to see Destiny. I've never read Typhon Pact, but maybe i'll give it a go. It's seems to be popular around here.
I didn't misrepresent anything. The only other Trek I mentioned was ENT, but in a completely different context. I obviously remember DSC more vividly than all of those examples, but that doesn't mean I forgotten about them. But even if I did, why would that mean that I don't remember any other Trek than DSC? But more…
Ok. So the review is about the whole of season 2. Obviously every series have moments when the writing is not quite that good, or when the plot holes are a bit too big, etc. What they are saying (and which I agree with) is that these problems are constantly present throughout the whole of season 2. And what I meant when I…
Well then we hit a bit of a conundrum there, since I saw every ST series ever and I'm pretty sure I'm not lying either, but thanks for the asumption. It is always possible that I'm mistaken in something, but that is an entirely different word. I don't want to derail the thread however, it is supposed to be about the…
No. So far just Discovery. I'm sorry, but what are you talking about? "Captain they are all (enemy ships) dead in the water." *They proceed to shoot them down effortlessly* "Lealand is dead. Control is neutralised." These are literal quotes from the season finale before Discovery jumps to the future. The battle ended, they…
I mostly agree with the OP. I think that star trek lost some of its identity and soul with the newest iterations. For example, i newer before felt a whole ST series continously being inadequate, incoherent and illogical. I also don't see the point or the necessity of reboots. Nor do I like them.
+1 Also, since bundles tend to sell better than single ships, maybe make a crossfaction gunship bundle. Like T6 Callisto (with Aquarius skin option), T6 Romulan Drone ship & something for the klingos, maybe T6 K'Tanco or something Fek'Ihri.
Well, in my opinion those are one-time story missions, while TFO-s are supposed to be endgame content (and this one is a self contained grindfest, at that). Also, the D7 and the T'liss are not ugly, not like most of the ST:D era ships.
Yes. And I fly my ship mostly because of their looks, ie. how I customized them etc. That is why I feel them mine. So, as I said, I will be forced into another ship if I play this TFO.
