The main issue with the Kelvin timeline is legal ownership. I believe that the Abrams films are, contractually, limited in what the game is allowed to use.

Honestly, I would like to see a set of xfac ships. At least, give each faction one of the iconic designs of the others. So Feds/KDF might get, say, D'Deridex or Mogai, KDF/Rom would get Constitution or Galaxy, and Rom/Fed would get the B'rel, as an example
As a side note, the Hur'q arc could be extended past ViL. They've been teased as a significant player in events, and could start pulling remnants together
Simple answer there is that the moment you upgrade it, it becomes account-locked, and you can only have x amount (equal to the amount the ship comes with, maybe) in your bank/inventory.
Actually, the last trio of Pilot birds were Reman-based. You can usually tell by the design aesthetic. Reman designs are sharp, angular, and aggressive-profile craft, while Romulan designs tend towards softer curves and rounded edges (Look at the Scimitar to the Shamsir as an example) Honestly, when you see the ships in…

Just as a side note, Skyrim's plot is substantially more uncertain than that. Political conflicts (the stability, but distant and disconnected rule of the Empire? Or the risk and connection of an independent Skyrim?), the potential that you may actually be disrupting the ordained order of things, the whispered scheming of…
