  • Well, this could be interesting. Colour me intrigued It'll probably be better than the TV show
  • It was almost beautiful! :p I liked the episode, easily the best of the Iconian Arc I'd say. Probably won't be their best episode, but definitely on the right end of the spectrum. It was really nice to see everyone go back to the morals and foundations of the Federation, which everyone was so keen on ignoring in the past…
  • Bummer, I was hoping for a chance to finally promote some of my boffs to Captain, letting them take the next step in their careers and all. Oh well.
  • Like I said earlier, a good compromise would be to play an episode or two as our mirrored counterpart as opposed to leaving our characters in Cryptic's hands. I like that you brought up Temporal Ambassador too. I've been hoping for another episode like that, and perhaps this would be an interesting opportunity.
  • Beautifully said. As much as our character's backstory is apart of the game play, I consider two things. One, there are a lot of players, quite possibly the majority, who do not make backstories for their characters. Two, no one asked me to make backstories. Most MMORPGs encourage it (hence the RPG part), but seldom is it…
  • No argument there. The use of the Mirror Universe in DS9 got so tedious, especially since they used it for comedic purposes when there was little or nothing comedic about it. I think what made it so annoying was how someone always had to be "crossing over" for us to see the mirror universe. And with it, all the lines of…
  • I am curious to see how the mirror universe fared in an Iconian War (they might've found a better solution to winning than the Krenim Time Weapon  ). Though my guess is that the scrappy nature of the Terrans and other species in the Mirror Universe made them hard to defeat.
  • Maybe instead of meeting your mirror counterpart, you could pretend to be them for an episode. Like Sisko did in an episode of DS9.
  • This sums up my feelings to the letter. The best thing coming with Season 11 is the end of Season 10, and for that I am thankful. Plus I'm really looking forward to the Admiralty system. It may not be much, but it will allow us to feel like Admirals for the first time in the game, and that's enough for me. Personally, I…
  • Yeah, I didn't think much about that. If they were to give our mirror characters a backstory, then it would likely be the same one for all characters regardless of race, gender, and faction. Which I'd guess would be disconcerting. Maybe that sort of "quick cameo" would be the right idea then
  • The overall story of the episode and the layout was sloppy to say the least. What irritated me most was how everyone was reminded that they needed approval from the Alliance governments before doing anything, especially since everyone at the research base has been banging their heads against the wall with all the…
  • The trailer was alright, but I'm just glad for what all is coming! Good job, Cryptic!
  • At the very least, command tunics from the uniform sets in the game (Odyssey, Sierra, etc). Or just a free one? Kirk's command tunic is a C-Store purchase, and I think that's the only one in game.
  • I suggested this as well, and I definitely think it would be a good progression to the game. All around the forums you'll hear rally cries of "Let us act like Admirals!", and this would definitely provide us an Admiral feel. I even suggested being able to send them on missions similar to Duty Officers, as well as having…
  • Scotty's Bomber Jacket
  • I at least think that having the ranks go as high as Fleet Admiral was a mistake. They should have left it at Rear Admiral because at that rank it's far more reasonable to still be in the Captain's Chair, as opposed to a starbase office. What's bothering me about this is that we are the same rank as Admiral Quinn. You…
  • That would require more work done by programmers and voice actors. Which I'm guessing is too difficult to do? I don't know. I would like to have the ability to change what rank my character is addressed by. I would just do Captain so at least getting ordered around makes a little sense  I think this is an "issue"…
  • You could even have it on the authors to tag their own story as primarily "story" or "combat" driven. They know what they made, and can do it themselves. But yes, I agree that if nothing else, an upgrade to this mess that is the Foundry is greatly overdue.
  • Keep in mind that right now, the mission is a "feature episode". Right now the minimum rank to play is level 10: Lieutenant Commander. I'm guessing that has something to do with it?
  • There is a shuttlebay at ESD, in between the exchange and the commodities stores that allows you to go down to the Academy. But you are shown beaming down either way so it makes no difference. I think there should also be the ability to beam straight to the sector map from ESD. You can do that from the Academy, and I don't…
  • This episode was a filler episode at best. The only purpose it serves is to remind us that this war is "extremely deadly" and "threatens the entire galaxy". At no point in the episode is there a clear explanation as to what the purpose of this attack is. Like, are we attacking them before they attack us? Was this battle…
  • YES!! I didn't even know I wanted that until I read it!! Anyway, My wishlist: 1. Playable race - Liberated Borg. Probably never gonna happen, but as far as a faction that's already in-game, that's the one I want most! 2. Return to the Gamma Quadrant. In terms of something that could come after the Iconian War, I think the…
  • Let's be real. The WHOLE mission was illogical. *contains spoilers* As Captain Kagran was calling for the assault on the Iconians, I was basically like, "That's a really bad idea." During the fight, when things started to go south, I was basically like, "This is about as bad as I thought it would be." Then at the end,…
  • This is exactly where I stand on the Iconian War, and about STO in general. The war has been underwhelming to say the least. Even during the missions, I'm reminding myself that there is a war going on that "threatens our galaxy"; I'm 99% sure that the newest mission "Broken Circle" only served to tell us how deadly things…
  • > @dcboy57 said: > I like your ideas and I wish Cryptic will implement them. > > However, a ship has its own uniform seems odd to me. I can't imagine if every ship in the Starfleet has it's own uniform, it just doesn't make sense. I think that point is already long gone. You've probably noticed that there a certain…
  • 20 passengers is a slightly ridiculous number, especially when you reference how the Enterprise-D carried hundreds at any given time, and we get unlock the Galaxy class starships at Captain. Still, ferrying 50 or so colonists doesn't do me a lot of good, especially when their only purpose is to get dumped off for dilithium…
  • I can actually see this happening. Sure I think it would be outrageously priced, be it a C-Store item or through some other means of obtaining. But I think this adds some progression to the DOffs system, and it wouldn't exactly make it worse by any means.
  • > @guljarol said: > admiralbarrett wrote: » > > > > > And that balance is exactly the problem. I like Red Alerts, I like Deep Space Encouters, and many patrols. I like going into Expanses on the KDF side. But some take just too long or doing the same thing over and over. Fighting two waves of Vaadwaur is a challenge,…
  • I'm all for swimming/scuba diving. Definitely need that for 2016 no question about it. Also, I would love to see them add duty officer assignments similar to the Winter Event. Some assignments that grant event rewards. The raising feathered monkeys thing is alright, but we can do that across the map with all sorts of pets…
