I don't think it ever worked right... the boff set it whenever and wherever they want. I just turn it off, and will replace that ability with something more useful for a boff. Second most irritating are haphazard laid mines, but that I can deal with.

The career field of the captain affects what tasks occur faster. Engineers can reset the power stations faster and Science Captains can close anomalies faster. Tactical just have the inherent ability to "PEW...PEW...." It doesn't matter what type of ship your captain is in for the event.

I download the update and my Tribble goes from a good download to another "Version Mismatch". Is your database able to keep up on who is LTS/Gold, or do we always have to download twice (first one messes up, second ones fixes the mess) to get Tribble to work?

I had one full team in which everyone else was dying repeatedly and it took forever to kill the Dread, and then another run with a toon that ended up with a three players team (two dropped out before the Dread room). We took down the ship with little difficulty and maxed the run. It all comes down to luck and team synergy.
