It makes sense that energy weapons whittle away the shields whilst doing some hull damamge and torps do great kinetic damage which is lessened by shields. So... tear the shields away THEN fre your torps... isn't that the way its supposed to work?

I am pretty much in love with my (Tac) Phantom at the moment. For my other Feds I have a (Sci) Breen Carrier and (Eng) Kobali Samsar. All are T6 the only exception is my Tac Rom, who has yet to find a reason to leave her T5U Scimitar.

I'll admit, I see your logic. A directed attack should *always* carry more damage than a scattered attack for the mere reason, if anything else, that it is a directed attack. A single beam can carry 100% of its power, but once you divide that beam into 2, 3, 4, etc. you also divide the power output and, hence, the damage.…

Oh, I know it's POSSIBLE, but in order for me to accomplish this I'd have to juffle BO abilities and what not... meh. Again, using the crafted Particle Emission Plasma Torp = <3 Boosting it with plasma projectile consoles = more <3! True - but the first wouldn't apply to non Romulan Feds.

I agree. I had thought that despite NOT being imprisoned upon retrning to Earth with Voyager he would have left Starfleet altogether. It seemd right for his character. I don't think he'd go Maquis, but I think he'd find a little niche of the galaxy to enjoy building ships and podracing...
