Class balance was a major issue two years ago, but a couple really subtle changes have made each of the classes quite bit more balanced now. These changes were mainly through the trait revamp (Eng and Sci got some kickass traits) and duty officers. If you feel like a character is useless, reach out to a community to…
Any answer to whether skill points for defeating NPCs, which makes up the majority of skill point gains for many players, will be scaled to match these changes? Even though quest rewards have been scaled up, this change amounted to a pretty huge loss in advancement speed for most players.
My fleet and I went into an advanced STF last night and had a blast because it was really tough. We succeeded and most of the team was still lvl 50 in T5 ships (not upgraded yet). I am not saying everyone should be able to do this, we have been at this a long time. The thought that Elite will be able to challenge us is…
I don't understand. Perhaps you are misunderstanding the system. Just because he has two toons in the fleet doesn't mean he can rescue himself, it just means you have to use two toons to kick him. This thread has become a string of people who misunderstand the system blaming cryptic for problems they don't actually have.
Voth quite specifically have an aceton drone that functions similarly to the assimilator. Whether it comes out as a console in the box or with one of the ships, I have a strong feeling we'll be seeing it, but probably not the original assimilator, in player hands.
Businesses are run off numbers, not off your good feelings. They probably have a very exact total of how many people have played through the swack of new missions they recently (LoR) released for the KDF, and it is probably not a big number. Though I agree the KDF could use a new ship, they are kinda busy at the moment…
I am not a Rank 7 on my fleet so perhaps I don't understand this as well as I could. So if you could enlighten me, I thought the controls simply prevented one Rank 7 from demoting more than a single other Rank 7 every 14 days. Couldn't 5 of your other admirals get on and demote all 5 of his characters at once? In this way…
If you wanted to fly a Qin raptor, why didn't you just roll another Klingon? That is the question I want to ask every time I see this. There is so little difference between factions beyond ship choices, why homogenize it more. Also, if you really hate flying warbirds, get a lockbox ship. I know its a lot of EC to afford,…
I agree with dilithium rewards for more queued events to make them better. People have paraphrased devs saying that Elite STFs give too much reward for the time investment, and this may be true. If that doesn't change though, good luck getting people to do anything else. Adding dilithium to other events will make them more…
The second one. It doesn't "break" proc rates, it just hits twice as many targets. So yes it doubles DPS, but in no more of a way than CSV triples it by hitting multiple targets.
I loved the episode. Having played it three times and still didn't notice some interesting things that were pointed out here or elsewhere. Some Possible Light Spoilers Below Also, to the above post, isn't that prominently featured KDF captain supposed to be Alexander's wife? At least if I remember from First Contact Day.…
I wanna know why all the whining started recently? Tech doffs are as old as the doff system, and Marion has been out for a year. Whoa whoa whoa. Who said patterns shouldn't stack? That makes no sense. Otherwise every tac player after the first would be pretty wasteful, to say nothing of my poor Mesh Weavers.
I'm surprised noone else has said this, but this is all you need to add to your ship. LtC Sci- Grav Well I En. Sci- Tachyon beam I Use both of those on the entity every time they are available and you will make the fight much easier. You'll barely notice the entity hitting you.
Tykens and Tachyon beam are specifically mentioned in the Crystalline briefing among the abilities that remove the "Recrystallize" buff from the Entity, thus "debuff". Please understand the discussion before jumping in. Just as people have already mentioned, there is a big difference between "difficult" and "broken". The…
While this is true both of those places have lots of other services that are duplicated on the NRCC. If "you have access to it elsewhere" was really a reason to not provide a more convenient one, the only security officer would be at DS9, since everyone can access that one. I would love a security officer too, though…
Neither Crystalline Catastrophe Elite or Hive Onslaught Elite are broken at the moment. Played CCE 4 times and HSE twice tonight. Maybe you just warped into a zone where idiots had fed the CE 500 stacks of recrystallize and then warped out. Otherwise (and in the case of the Hive) you are doing it wrong or just have an…
You can absolutely mix and match the classes and ship types. This is a fun way to create interesting combos. There are a couple abilities that work BEST in ships matching the captains class, but can still be used in any ship. Like the following: Science captain abilities Sensor Scan and Scattering Field are enhanced by…
Except vs shields the KCB does 25% damage (288 dps) and the proton weapon does 774 dps. Also, I wonder if people realized that Cryptic is not out there to put weapons in to the game simply to improve their already game-breakingly powerful builds. If you are already winning the game, go ahead and continue doing what you are…
In other words: Dear Devs, thanks for making such a great game that people have nothing better to do but go on forums and complain about having to watch a 3 minute cutscene that one time.
