So far the following has not worked for me: -disable/enable on demand patching -force verify -creating firewall/av exceptions - disabling antivirus entirely -complete reinstall - swearing at the computer in English and Italian. I'm not sure what else to try. Maybe someone can corroborate trying these things as well?
Indeed. That was me. It actually shook out to 618 GB of data, and the patch never actually completed. So Im also stuck not being able to play the game, while not being able to patch this game (or any other for that matter because I'm out of data) for the last week and change.
Had the same thing happen. Started to patch and left it running while I did other things, thinking it would just complete and that would be that. Instead, it downloaded 500 GB of data putting me over the limit for the month. Cost me a ton of money.
So for ships which are actually attainable and fit your parameters, I would grind Dil to turn into zen to get the tac pilot ship or the Escort Carrier if you want to use cannons, and either the Tac Command ship or the Morrigu/Kurak/Arbiter if you want to use beams. As far as grinding EC for a ship, there's really several…
So you figure that youd want/need AHOD and Emergency Weapon Cycling at the very least. So you'd need to buy 2 C-Store ships. The other 2 slots can be filled with event ship traits or lockbox traits. The thing is, lockbox traits arent as far out of reach as you'd think. If you buy the ship off the exchange with EC you can…
Pilot Specialization. Every point in that boosts turn rate, plus some of the actual skills help with turn rate. I actually had a cannon dread setup at one point. Getting it to turn ended up being no problem whatsoever. If youre not committed to Polaron, using Disruptor weapons means you can use the Bio Molecular Turret and…
He indicates that its a T6 carrier. There are only 2 of those, the Sarr Theln and the Vonph. Unless he's counting the myriad of Flight Deck Cruisers and Escorts like the Quas, Olaen, etc. Assuming all that, it'd have to be a Vonph, you can't pull a Sarr Theln out of a box. Still, I would have preferred not to have to work…
The set choice is fairly straightforward. 3 or 4 piece Iconian gives you the most damage under most circumstances, the exception maybe being if you are a science torp boat. The 2-piece Adapted Maco/KHG shield and engine gives you tons of aux power, the CC deflector gives you a tiny amount of energy weapon damage, and the…
Is that assuming that you have other power cost reduction equipment or traits, or under any circumstance? I know the KCB loses to a beam under BFAW or against shields, I'm wondering if its the case where you can push the damage of a regular beam so far beyond the KCB that it out damages the setup even with the full effect…
Sorry, somehow I thought you were a rom, don't know where I got that from. Reading fail. All the same things still apply save the ship choice and Boff Choice. Also you can get a plasma integrated warp core. It has AMP and power transfer rate. For Boffs you'd still want the Superior Romulan Operative from the embassy. Then…
Well the best is still a Tac Scimitar, but as for stuff that helps with the damage here are a few acquisitions. -A singularity with the AMP mod, or if you are using Antiproton then the obelisk core works well too. -As many Embassy plasma explosion consoles as you can cram onto the boat, or alternately the Research Lab…
In short, to get the fleet discount on any ship you need to have purchased the C-store ship of the same tier (t5 or t6) You get the Guardian because the Guardian is a T6 ship. Just like the Armitage gets you a discount on the fleet t5 HEC but the Alita gets you the discount on the fleet T6 HEC.
The Honor Guard/AMaco engines and shield works for science builds too, since it provides +8 to aux and the engines boost power levels of systems that are set to low configurations. It also boosts torp damage if you have any. It makes it much easier to get to 135 aux, which, for a Vesta whose weapon damage is determined by…
If you look at all of the determining factors, the Scimitar has mostly all of the desireable ones, whereas the other ships in question do not. It mostly a matter of pros and cons, with room for personal preference. The Scimitar has 8 weapons and 5 tac consoles. The Imperium and the Nandi are the only other two ships in the…
Sometimes set bonuses and synergies can help you decide between options as well. The counter command armor has a bonus to physical damage and a disruptor damage set bonus. So I run the Zephram Cochrane Shotgun and then whatever I want for the long distance weapon. But if I use the counter command weapon I use a disruptor…
If you want a torp boat, and if you dont want a science ship to do that with, the tactical pilot ship is one of a few non-science torp boat options too. Its console boosts torpedo damage and its universal, and its active ability is thematically appropriate. The ship trait spits out microprojectiles every 4 seconds, and as…
I have no doubt that it will be better. And if it comes with a new console plus the two old ones I have zero problems. Or if the two older consoles (not ships) were made available by other means Id have no problems, and a good chunk of the concerns on this thread would be dealt with. If, however , the ship is better, and…
Thats the thing with precedent, it usually holds. Especially since they made several references to this being the way it will be moving forward. And sitting back and banking on something being a one-off behavior is a losing proposition. We generally advertise isolated behaviors as such, doubly so for companies with PR…
The specifics of the ships are immaterial. Its the precedent. I dont care to have the luxury cruiser at all, and I probably wont miss it when gone. But if the new summer ship has some sort of console set bonus that is of worthwhile use Ill be frustrated that the person next to me, doing the exact same event as me, will get…
And the concern here is that each of these things came with consoles that formed a set bonus, and, in the case of the carrier, required the older ships just to have the right to purchase those pets. So a Delta Recruit will not be able to ever have those set bonuses or those pets. SO the summer event is mostly for those…
Whenever they do the lockbox rerun events the first sentence in the blog is always something to the effect of "we realize that as a f2p title newer players may have missed out on old items", and so they are made available again, waxing philosophical about the virtue of being able to get old stuff again. But this blog says…
If all 3 of your rear beams are omni and you run the hydrodynamics compensator which improves turn rate, you could go with dual beams up front. If not then there are probably better consoles than the hydro to put there, though off hand I know not what. Unless you are running Marion Frances Dulmer, I would speculate that…
This depends largely on how many KDF toons you have/intend to have. Its 1000 zen but its claimable by each and every KDF or KDF aligned ROM you have or will ever have. If 1 KDF is all you ever intend to have, then maybe its not worth it. Though it still might be. Its a killer console if you have points in flow caps.
Do it with a team. The first person to map transition from the bar to the shuttlebay doesnt get the completion, everyone else in the team does. So youd have to do that part twice, with a different player going first each time. Tht portion of the mission doesnt take terribly long.
I can tell you from personal experience that the TBR pull is not a good idea in this instance. If you're close enough to the entity for TBR, you're also close to a lot of things floating around the entity. Once you engage TBR, you pull it all to you. Tholian warp core breaches, fragments that do damage upon contact, etc…
PartGens. Gravity Well III and TBR II with the pull doff powered by all hands on deck. Though I can run max weapons and max aux, and even with the focus on sci a ton of damage still needs to come from the weapon set. I guess the Delta set gives a slight bonus to the radiation damage aspect of the exotic powers, but other…
Part of the problem with Donatra is that her behavior has been altered a few times such that people dont know if proximity triggers cloak or not anymore. At first it did, then it didnt and cloaking was random, so getting closer didnt matter If it was changed back to her cloaking only if/when someone is within 5km then that…
