  • Far as I remember, once they moved the Specters (plus Breen and Lost Dominion) arc(s) to the Available tab, you had to be level 65 and have completed The Galaxy at Large mission from the Klingon War arc. If there is a similar mission requirement for KDF and/or Romulan characters, I don't know the specific one.
  • Thank you. By putting a restriction on the Omni, when there is no corresponding Beam/Cannon Cold-based weapons, makes it singularly unattractive and therefore negates my desire or need to grind out the currency for it. Y'all just saved me a heap of time and effort.
  • Yeah. Got up early to make sure I had plenty of time to do one last event. Update moved up two hours. :/
  • I do terrible accents and I cringed at Kensington's butchery. I just get over it by pretending that languages (and accents) evolve over time. Four hundred years is a long time. As I recall, Earth had some pretty tumultuous times in those intervening years as well. I can picture accents morphing due to different language…
  • It's not so much "generating" as much as "exposing." The scaling issues have been a problem since I started. The "unequip your slotted gear and dump it into your inventory" issue is the same. While there are new issues, many of the ones being reported as new have been there for a while. Someone mentioned spaghetti code up…
  • Somebody upthread mentioned the Andorian Chimesh. I second that. It has become my absolute favorite escort of all time. The ability to point cannons at the enemy and then, just as you get to the point of passing them, hit that little reverse icon, you get to do that strafing run all over again. Turns what should be a…
  • I'ma gonna vote for getting rid of Injuries altogether. In the spirit of healthy discussion however, I am going to suggest that if a Critical Hit = Injury/Damage system should be implemented, it should not be an automatic thing. A Crit merely allows for a proc chance to do Injury or Damage. Any injuries/damage sustained…
  • I have only seen clips of Discovery on YouTube. I refuse to pay for Yet Another Streaming Service so I did not have the opportunity to see Discovery in full. What I did see reminded me more of the Battlestar Galactica reboot than Star Trek. If the creators want to call it canon, I can't argue. Call it Prime Universe? Sure.…
  • No different than right now I suspect. A lot of folks I've talked to use only the free ships leveling up and the event ships like the Breen or Risan ships. No matter what scheme is used, they are simply not interested in investing the time, effort, or money. Then you have the overwhelming majority of players that buy…
  • My first love was the 2nd Anniversary Event ship; the Odyssey. Now I'm flying the T6 Endeavor with the Odyssey skin. That original Odyssey sits right next to her with a budget phaser build. Never will get tired of that ship. In fact, I got back into STO because I ran across a screen shot I took of my Ody. That said, I…
  • Still a mix for me. Never did the Breach non-event map before. Long. When trying to escape, the map actively lies to you by placing "go here" arrows into a dead end. So my normal complaint. You either know the map and contribute or you are a detriment to the team. On the other hand, I got Starbase 1 (the new RA) and Swarm.…
  • Back to scaling ships. Another option is to just transform all ships to T6-S(caling) and have mastery trigger at level 50 or 55. The ships scale just like the starter pack ship but go all the way up. Instead of having a distinct Fleet version of the ship, a Fleet upgrade just adds further hull cap, shield mod, additional…
  • Hahahaha....no. Typically those that make that sort of claim are not running around with stock gear. More likely they are running around in a T6 with MkXV Epic gear and an optimized build. Fortunately, the casual player can find a place in the game. It requires a little effort but isn't so taxing as to be a horrible,…
  • I think 2250 Zen for a T6 is asking too much. Considering that T6 ships generally run 3,000 Zen. Not only that, you get the pet (whoo hoo  ), you get an Experience upgrade and the upgrading personal weapons. As far as end game content, I noticed that Delta Rising through the whole time travel arc was really tough.…
  • There are some upsides and downsides to this method. Now before I continue, the leveling ship is something that I have wanted for a very long time. Since about a month after the 2nd Anniversary event when I made my second character in fact. The Bad The ship doesn't level high enough. I mean, Tier 4 is great and all but…
  • I play them because I actually....like playing them. All of the rewards are a bonus. I'll freely admit that having them made leveling up Rep trees much more convenient. Losing them will impact my enjoyment of the game (obviously "badwrongfun" ) and like others, I might look elsewhere for my entertainment. I can't say that…
  • Too bad I can't level up both my Arbiter and Morrigu and get Emergency Weapon Cycle twice. :)
  • Yup. I always wondered what a yo-yo feels like. Now I know. Then I got to see my beautiful desktop background.
  • Lovely shade of red that Server Status indicator is. Reminds me of my Antiproton Cannons, which I will NOT get to shoot now.
  • I agree based on one condition; add BNP to Normal STFs. Previous to this, I could go into one of the Advanced STFs and have a solid challenge. Now, and keep in mind I have no knowledge of how to gauge my DPS, those same loadouts are doing next to nothing to the bad guys. I'm running Mk XII Very Rare AP with Fleet AP…
  • My favorite ship for aesthetic purpose is the Odyssey. I love it. It also happens to be pretty versatile with those Universal BoFF slots. I am thinking about saving up to get the Odyssey pack so I can get those consoles and slap them into a Tac Odyssey. My favorite ship to fly is the Risian Cruiser. I got it Borg-a-Rom'ed…
  • The Risian Cruiser is actually quite useful. It can mount four forward, four backward weapons. It has five engineer, three tactical and two science console slots. It is very maneuverable. So much so that a single, common RCS console makes it nearly as nimble as an escort. I equipped my Assimilated Borg set and my Romulan…
