Odyssey and Bortas from the 2nd anniversary. 5 minute mission and I used those two beasts for a very long time. Overlooked, overshadowed and underappreciated.
1st time as a fully gold tactical got to lvl 27 in a pug. 2nd time as a sci got to lvl 27 in a premade. 3rd time as my non-upgraded sci got to lvl 52 in a pug. Something just came together in the last game. We all ended up laughing as none of expected or wanted to get very far, yet somehow we steamrolled each wave until we…
See that massive hornet nest over by that malfunctioning flame-thrower that's linked to the leaking nuclear reactor? Probably safer to kick those than talk about the Gold Marauder ;)
Science rocks at the moment. I have two: one flies a "proper" exotic science ships and nukes things with space magic. the other is a Romulan who flies a Kara advanced Warbird. I gave him a generic spec build that focuses a little on the tactical side. He'll never reach to dizzy DPS heights my pure tac can but he can throw…
Admiralty is your friend. If you've got the AOY bonus from levelling the campaigns then you can get about 1/3 of a bar if you pick the right missions. I've been boosting my alts just doing this. Doing Fed campaign as often as you can gives you a lot of xp with the bonus of 2 spec points every 10 days.
My one and only gripe with this box is that I spent over 600k in dilithium upgrading one of my toons when I realised I could have bought hundreds of boxes and got the better phoenix upgrades. But I'll tell you this, I regret nothing. It was a nice surprise and I got the RMC so I'm happy.
firstly: Are you flying a ship that can slot Pilot abilities? Specialist skills can't be slotted unless the BOFF station has dual spec, like tactical/pilot or engineering/intelligence, for example. Secondly: Lambda. Lambada is a dance.
If you're having trouble surviving while aiming the javelin Lance, set up your command specialist with Rally Point Marker to give you shield and Hull regen. This is vital if you choose to remain stationary. Shield repair hangar pets and the hull repair drones from the Varanus (if you have them) also increase your…
Although the Kara is sold as part of the Dreadnought 3-piece set, it is classed as an Advanced Warbird. In fact the only ship in the dreadnought pack that is a dreadnought is the Yamato, which is oddly misleading. I think the only thing the three ships have in common is a hangar and a Lance weapon. I share your frustration…
If it helps you, the story clearly states that you're yanked through time to replace a dead officer, so for all intents and purposes you, your crew, your ship, everything are now 25th century Starfleet. Only you know the truth.
I run most of my ships at 100/25/50/25. I figured higher engine power means higher defence bonus, quicker turn rate, etc. Have pilot as secondary and it makes you quite hard to hit.
