I can't say yes or not to that with absolut certainty. The only instances in season 3 where I can remember Klingon and Romulan referrred to they kept it unclear. They were only called "weapons" or "energy weapons" there. But hey no instances of Klingon or Romulan phasers that's already a good thing.:) The first time I know…

That's because until about TNG season 4 Klingon and Romulan weapons were always referred to as "Phasers" onscreen. TOS "Errand of Mercy" Kirk says "Those are Klingon Phasers", Korris in TNG "Heart or Glory" supposedly used a Phaser according to Tasha Yar, the IKS Pagh in TNG "A Matter of Honor" was also armed with Phasers…

Something we should however not overlook is of course that we know as a fact that the Klingons use scout ships to gather intelligence on regions beyond their territory. They did so in the 22nd century with the Raptors and kept doing so in the 24th century with an unseen (probably due to budget) scout class.…

Thank you. The thing is that "Klingons" is not the same as "KDF" (the KDF is what we see for the very most part after all), not even when we restrict ourselves to canon. Otherwise we could also say "all Americans act and think like Patton". That would probably be an...interesting society but far away from the truth.:P

But look at a lot of the powers science captains/officers have: scramble sensors, jam sensors, mask energy signatures, sensor scan...that's all electronic warfare…

That depends on how you define "science" in STO. Does it only mean peaceful exploration and tree-hugging? Or does it also cover the kind of "science" actual real-life militaries use? That would be "Signal Intelligence", "Electronic Intelligence" and of course electronic warfare. Like stealth (masking your signature),…

Not quite that as I recall. Cryptic worded it so badly that it didn't include any specifics that it was Fed-only so they had to give the Joined Trill to both factions to avoid false advertising claims. I've noticed the same thing. A good friend I play with and I tend to have certain times we just don't even bother to log in unless we do just DOFF a bit because it's a waste of time.
