My only problem with it is it's one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no-one had a chance to interrupt; it was really quite hypnotic....
"4. Difficult to tell where one post ends and next begins." Totally this. I'm tending to stick with reddit now because everything is just merging together here. I can't figure out who is saying what to whom.
On a side note I think this forum is nearing an unplayable state. The only way this redesign could be harder to read would be to insert random characters into the mix.
Not a theme but a system. I always name them after the ship class they are a part of. Not very creative, but it's always a canon name and I can find the ship easily in the roster.
"There's also a bonus dil week. Yeah, they're not even trying at this point. I get that there's no "quick, easy fix", but what they're doing now is actively counterproductive." I can't interpret it any other way than intentional. Besides that if you are actively playing the game you have ZERO need for more dilithium ore.
I'm days away from having a Jupiter for a character I specifically made for it. Perhaps they could buff support carriers to not be obsolete and fix Callisto's while they are at it.
Not sure what option it is in the notifications screen but I don't see any fly-in loot text. Pretty sure I know what you mean, I've seen in in the past but I've got it disabled somehow.
The only experience I have with Gearbox is their release of remastered Homeworld which included some very questionable changes to the gameplay....eventually fixed after much outcry. Fortunately, it doesn't sound like they will be having much of an impact on STO.
More of an open question than observation.....how canon can STO actually be? It's a wonderful bit of star trek content but seems to be way too much going on in a short period of time. However, that can probably be said for most ST series as well.
Agree 100%. However, the positivity these people feel is dampened by the loathing expressed by many at every opportunity that presents itself. I also will always question the motives of people that do that, when if it was me I'd probably say "meh, this show is not for me" and watch something else and not even bother to…
What you call "shoehorning" characters into the show I call being representative of real life. Shoehorning was when all the lead characters were straight white males. Which I happen to be one which makes this all the more ironic. Star Trek was "politically correct" from day one so no change there, you just don't like the…
I'm sorry that you can't see how wall's of text that's nothing but toilet jokes is disrepectful. I suspect that you do know that you're just being disingenuous. I know that if I was one the hard-working people that designed and worked on getting these ships into the game I'd be curled up in a ball somewhere, assuming I…
Since I literally just watched the pilot today I'll give my perspective. I never expected a new Trek series to rival TOS in character likeability. However, Burnham does exhibit the same drive that Kirk had if nothing else. The show is well written, exceptional special effects, and well acted. Is it another Grade A Star…
So the multiple threads with hundreds of posts here and reddit filled with toilet humor is somehow respectful of the developers and fans of Discovery? Interesting perspective.
I think you know the answer to your own question since the hate for Discovery began before the show even aired. I know, I was here. Four years on and it hasn't shown any sign of stopping. Frankly, everyone here should be the biggest cheerleaders for a new Star Trep IP but prejudice has put up a massive roadblock. I can…
I think Ambassador Kael said it best: "The general rule that I have found is that the same people that get upset about any Discovery ship are the same people that complain about everything else that they've ever changed on that show. If there's anything that's even slightly different from TNG it's wrong and bad"
The reveal was embarrassing anyway. Even after numerous people mentioning that his mic volume was too low we forged on without being able to hear him or others yelling at you at 10X the volume.

I can confirm that I always thought that the servers were in Massachusetts. I suppose they could be in Zimbabwe for all I know. My recommendation at this point is to decide whether the current state of the game is acceptable to you or not. With a total lack of improvement or communication on the matter, and it being a long…
Ok, understandable. Only have my personal experience to judge but my fleet is older than dirt and this rubberbanding/disconnects issue is the #1 topic. It's painfully obvious that priorities need to change, what use is all the fancy new ships and lockbox items they sell if people are leaving the game due to the constant…
I adore STO and love the work Cryptic has done, but I want to point out that the contract (it's conjecture on my part if there even is one) with Akamai has been around for maybe 5 years? This is certainly a long standing problem that goes back for ages, so it's not new.
Apparently the CEO of Akamai Technologies is a big star trek fan. Maybe we should contact him directly. Is Cryptic still a star trek fan? Since they seem loathe to discuss this topic.
