Ditto! As I've posted elsewhere: I've so far had this happen twice! Both times I've tried to launch the new FE and crashed to desktop both times. TFO worked fine earlier, but I can't get the FE to launch at all, with it just crashing to desktop. I've made sure my Nvidia drivers were fully up to date. And, after my first…

[/quote] That is totally understandable. I work... Well, used to work with a lot of visually impaired and blind people before the pandemic. In-home computer training is pretty much dead for now and specialized computers and software aren't really bug business with most people financially concerned for the future. I also…
That suggestion of yours does indeed work for those of us who've got 1080p and higher, larger monitors. In fact, thus far, I'm pretty sure it's the only work around that works. And yet that's only a work around to something that's pretty clearly broken. Case in point, any content that offers limited mark choices, like…
Yeah, I'm visually impaired and the difference between scale 1.00 and 1.15 is akin to nothing for the likes of me and others like me! I've always run the game (and I truly mean 'always', as in for the past 10 years) at scale 1.45, which is what's most comfortable for me. And I've got a 27" 1080p monitor, which I run at its…
Right, but the problem is that the 'accept rewards' button is blocked behind that scroll bar now, for everyone who has their UI scale set to anything higher than 1.00. You can scroll and pick all you like, but you can't hit 'accept rewards'. And if you let the timer run down, it'll just randomly pick a mark type for you.…
Exactly. None of that nonsense has worked for me either. The one and only thing that I have gotten to work is changing the UI scale back down to 1.00. And that's an unacceptable hassle to deal with after playing each and every bit of game content, just to be able to pick your marks of choice! Please fix this nonsense…
Pretty please respond soon, 'cause it's sounding an awful lot like they didn't fix this problem with today's patch. And I refuse to play for any longer than the event daily, until this annoying nonsense has been fixed. Your trick might allow me to tolerate playing though, if myself and others can replicate your trick. So,…
I sadly haven't been able to finagle my mouse pointer to get that damned blocked button to light up. Might I ask what UI scale you're set too? So I can try to replicate your mouse pointer finagling trick? Also, is there any particular part of the blocked button that you've pointed to, which gets it to consistently light…
Be awfully nice if they fixed this, as I'd love to enjoy all the new content! Yet, I've simply put off playing on account of this bug. And, until it's fixed, I'll only be popping in to do my event daily and then I'm done.
Hey, I'm not usually one to give Cryptic the benefit of doubt. Yet, you and I got through to that Dev on Reddit about those other unannounced graphics changes. And there's a whole 22 days until April 25th. I'm hopeful that they'll fix that nonsense before it goes live then. As for that 'real, real bad news'? I can almost…
Nailed it! Played a good bit yesterday and T'Met popped up in my contact window a whole lot and looked exactly like that second example. The good news is that a fix for this has already popped on to Tribble. The likely bad news is that said fix probably won't be applied to Holdeck until the launch on April 25th.
Actually that's just flat out false Crypticarmsman. If you had taken a few moments to actually read the contents of this thread, then you would already know that STO GFX Dev 'TOPMOE' has already responded to this issue via Reddit, at the following link:…
Ughh...wrote a detailed reply and the Forum vaped my comment as I attempted to edit it! In a nutshell, I saw your Reddit post and glad ya replied there. Also glad texture seems to have been fixed. Still very concerned about all these missing 'Graphics' and 'Advanced' settings though! That's definitely a greater concern in…
Good news! Heard some initial feedback from a GFX Dev, over at Reddit. Details can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/60kkxl/pc_alarming_gfx_ingame_control_settings/
Glad to have finally heard back from you! And the first paragraph of your reply is incredibly alarming, as you've made it evident that more GFX options have vanished than I'd realized. This has got to be some sort of bug or series of bugs that have run amok! It's alarming enough that we should be shouting loudly about this…
Czuri, your theory is an intriguing one and might also explain why, inexplicably of late, sometimes when I now log into ESD orbit, I find Earth itself completely lacking in detail. Just looks like a big light blue featureless sphere. And sometimes, I'll change toons and see details again. None of this happened until a few…
What the flying frak is up with this nonsense??!! Why cut out any graphics options at all??? And comparing the two sets of display options, I couldn't help noting that 'Video Memory Limit' (which should be below 'Limit Frame Rate' in 'Advanced') is missing on Tribble? Also, to FrToaster, regarding the darkness you've been…
Yep, Nvidia GPU player here as well and I've experienced this too. Funny thing is that it's intermittent. Sometimes I'll simply switch toons and then there's detailed Earth again.
Indeed Smokebailey. Having perused related threads about this issue, both here and at Reddit, it's become clear that it's not just NVidia GPUs that have been hit by this bug, as I read of someone with an Intel GPU also being affected as well. No idea if Radeon GPU users have been hit by this. Yet, it seems persistent…
To those saying that lighting 1.0 will be phased out or that this issue won't be fixed...that's simply misguided and ridiculous speculation. It may or may not take a while for this bug to be fixed, but I'm confident that it will be, as lighting is clearly broken. I've also checked 2.0 and while the issue is not as evident…
I visited my Sovvy San Francisco bridge last night, to access my account bank and immediately noticed this problem upon beaming on to the bridge. Every single bridge console was blank. Also have an NVidia card here. I'll try running a force verify today, to see if that corrects it.
Indeed, I just dropped in here to see if there was any word on this issue and only discovered this thread via our search feature. I sincerely hope IOR is simply just bugged right now, rather than it having been stealth-nerfed. IORs are a wonderful incentive for players to explore Foundry play and I often encouragingly…
Interestingly enough, I experienced this this morning. Yet, in my case, since Tuesday's patch my Cryptic Error Report window kept popping up after directly exiting the game. So, I thought...perhaps I'll logout this time and then exit. When I did so, no Error Report window, but my desktop and browser windows were brighter.…
