This is really sad news. I've played the Foundry for years and always loved coming back to it, even the last year (where you've left the search function broken) I've still tried to use it. This isn't a threat, but with you removing the Foundry I will be playing a lot less and I will be spending a lot less (I don't know if…
The same could be said for quite a few ships on all sides, especially the Pilot ships. Though Roms take the trophy for wings. There might be some 'reason' for the big wings, having the nacelles on the end or the weapons but I don't like them, it just makes the ship a bigger target and a chance to lose the nacelle/weapon on…
Thanks for taking the time to post this up, I don't watch the live stream so I wouldn't have known. Well, s'pose I at least know now. One can still hope though lol :)
Yeah, hopefully they'll at least add in a queue mechanic, but that wouldn't stop some abilities from not activating when pressed (Looking at you, Torp Spread :| ) (which has been happening to me a lot more recently)
I'd really love random encounters to be added, I'd actually stop transwarping to places if they were added. ok, everyone might not use them but it would add variety to the game. They wouldn't even need to be too complicated, just as you're travelling have a pop-up as mentioned above with either 'investigate' or…
While they do overlap as you mentioned it can still be worth while using both. You'll fire for longer which looks cool Also both Cannons have different hard points so dual cannons will fire from a different point than your dual-heavy cannons... again which looks cool :)
Gotta agree with these 2 posts. I fly quick/fast escorts and pilot ships only now, and I like how they are, I've got used to them, and it's not hard at all to point your ship at a target. I actually choose not to use a single cannon or wide arc cannons because i have no trouble aiming my ship and also i think it just looks…
You're speaking from a point of ignorance and it's really showing. You are dead wrong. You even said you don't use keybinds. I don't min-max. I use 6 abilities, 3 at a time. Attack Pattern Beta, Tac Team and Cannons-Rapid Fire then I repeat them after the others have run out. If I press the buttons too quickly then some of…
I'd really like that idea but IMO I'd also like them to be mini missions, so that you could be ambushed on the way to your destination (by for example Space Pirates) just to keep it interesting. You could also have escort missions were you had to take an ambassador from one place to another, again, with a chance to be…
Yeah, I'd like to see stuff like that added. What you mentioned could be seen as an #off duty' event, and also have things to do for when you're working too, systems check on your ship-mini game... ok I've ran out of idea's already lol
I would like some other reasons to visit places, optional daily maintenance thingies, stuff to interact with, mini games maybe but not something like we already have (ore mini games or admiralty etc) maybe mini games to do with repairing your ship, giving in reports etc, make a fun little mini game of that and make it…
I like that there are so many places to visit, it makes the galaxy seem bigger. With even fewer places to visit it would make the galaxy feel even smaller, that is not what I want from a game that is meant to take place in an explored galaxy. If all the things you mentioned were just added to the players hud then what…
I think you're wrong there. (Bolded) The hero is normally the hero because something makes the hero stand out, whether that be more strength, more speed, better trained, wisdom or even just lucky. The hero(s) should always be better than the average grunt/ship. It's one of the main reasons small groups are sent against…
TLDR To make the game slightly harder for me what I do is lower my weapon power level (and add that to speed for more fun) and I don't equip any consoles that add to DPS, I then use them emtpy slots for fun things like Metron Gas Cannisters or Deploy Spacial Charges. I have at least 4 or 5 added. That way the enemies…
Thanks for the info you two  There was only really one or two snags with missions that couldn't be skipped, one was having to play one mission in the Kobali BZ (analyse dead scounts etc) the other minor thing was having to travel to an area to be introduced to a quest giver (normally you can tell this type by the…
ah ok, thanks for letting me know, I wasn't sure if it was something to do with the ships I used (Klingon Pilot 3 Pack, which I changed from one to the other) or it was a general all round bug as you mentioned. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I'd drydocked a ship/shuttle, (Rom/FED) (to test whether loadouts reset),…
Just to add onto this I recently created a Klingon character, I placed a ship into Drydock, when I brought it out all layouts were messed up a lot, the items were in the right places but all of the tray icons were in the wrong place, not one was in the correct place. Again, how can a save not save or save so badly. I…
Look at the TV shows though, soooo many species from TNG were nothing but humans with bumps on their head (as someone already mentioned in the thread), that was something I really used to hate about TNG, and the change from that in Enterprise is one of the reasons I enjoyed that. Edit mid post. Sorry just noticed you had…
Excellent design Cryptic, well done :) I can't wait to see them in action. Just an idea but it was mentioned that they haven't decided how to make them move. Maybe they could walk on all fours when not in combat, sort of an evolutionary thing, walk on all fours but with the head and chest raised (due to their long arms) so…
Is there referring to my comment? It seems to be as there's no other mention of it that I can see. It isn't nonsense as it's my opinion. I have a fast ship and when the trails disappear then there isn't the same sense of speed or movement. Also my fast ship 'slides' when taking very sharp turns (which I love :p ) and that…
Anyway, back on topic. I really wish they would change this to allow you to delete/MOVE ship loadouts to another ship (Meaning: statement shows I would like to have the ability to swap/move/delete loadouts and place them on other ships I own) because as it is, it could be seen to be a money grab. There is no reason for it…
I knew you'd just keep going on and on. lol. I don't think you understand this post, this person is saying that they don't have this problem but they also don't have bought loadout slots, so I don't think it applies. How can they understand if they haven't tried it with bought loadouts? What is so difficult for you to…
And around and around we go! You really cannot admit you are wrong. You are picking silly things to argue about. Taken from my initial post. Bolded the parts that prove you are wrong (or are just arguing for the sake of it). You're making yourself look bad by trying to make up excuses (or is it because you want the last…
I would have went for a third option. Yes, but I wouldn't use it. There's a bug with my main ship (a Malem) that when I return from being cloaked I lose all trails and IMO it doesn't look good at all as there's no sense of movement from your ship. I hate it happening so much I've actually stopped using cloak :/
