even as far back as the mid-23rd century, they consider the body an empty shell - albeit one that is paradoxically treated simultaneously with respect (via internment) and disrespect (via using said interred bodies as armor)

they should take a look at ESO - all their collectibles have a preview function so you can see what they look like on your character before you obtain it given the labyrinthine nightmare the codebase is for STO, though, adding a similar function may not be all that easy
