We only had Gowron's word that the empire wouldn't have been willing to follow a clone, and given he was A: Chancellor at the time and B: Not exactly known for truthfulness...that statement reeks of bias. Besides, that clone didn't have the nomination of one who just slaughtered a mad tyrant who nearly blew up the Klingon…
Alex: The NCR's problem is every pre-scarcity nation's problem...greed - wealth, power, status, influence, any or all of those things will destroy even the strongest nations if left to grow unchecked while concentrated among too few people.
EPG builds don't really have dead periods anymore - at least not high-end ones - between things like Improved Photonic Officer, Intelligence Agent Attache and Unconventional systems, CDs are a zero-issue issue - and even for me who has none of those things, I still don't have that much of a gap between fleetus deletus…
From the start of AoD to the end of YoK, the only items I personally feel are REALLY useful that they've given from missions, and none of them are one-build-fits-all items which is probably a good thing, is the Fek'ihri Torment Engine console (for its insane boost to physical damage, which EPG builds generally have in…
Alex: The followers of the Apocalypse did the Brotherhood's mission far, FAR better than they ever did - and an entire outpost of them were murdered for it by the Mojave chapter, to say nothing of the insanity one of their number, Elijah, put several of his own people through, put the courier, as my companion through the…
(She's not the only one...after meeting archangels like Imperious, Malthael and most of his minions, Metatron, Michael, Lucifer, Uriel, Raphael, etc.. he's not exactly a fan.) Alex: No, he really was that bad - he's the one who started that whole 'hoard technology away from the 'ignorant children, for their own good' -…
Alex: Oh, Diana's light, please tell me that idiot didn't actually name a state after himself?! Bad enough he started a band of arrogant, murderous luddite thugs who think naming their ranks after Arthurian terms was a smart idea.
Alex: For the same reason I've been to so many hundreds of other worlds - that's where the portal I opened led me...and the return visit was just checking in to see how things were going, followed by getting tangled up in a vengeance plot, followed by a major battle between two major powers.
Alex: I've been to that world twice now - once to the Capital Wasteland 2277 and once to the Mojave in 2281 - and will probably go back several more times, and my son has recently been to the commonwealth in 2287. And I personally considered FEV contamination...but that was limited to the USA, and the entire planet is…
Alex: And then of course the one that lasted such a short amount of time it shouldn't even be called a war, but it is because it wiped out most of the planet's population, both sapient and sentient AND TRIBBLE up its biome that still hasn't recovered yet, which I can't for the life of me figure out because radiation is…
Alex: Well, that would be me, as well as a number of other individuals assigned to this task force...or even just tangentially related to it in some way...that still doesn't explain WHY you need this, and does this have anything to do with what I felt several hours ago? I haven't felt an energy surge like that since…
Alex: Yeah, and I can't imagine your last meeting was a pleasant one, given I know the faction that emblem belongs to. *he says, eyes narrowing at the sight of the Enclave emblem*
Alex: *who happens to be wandering by nibbling on a chimken leg* Okay, this sounds like a conversation I should get involved in...why do you need a master sorcerer?
(Danube class: 23 meters YT-1300 class: 35 meters Not that big of a difference between the two, and given the design of a YT-1300, the usable interior space inside one is probably actually smaller than a Danube - or maybe roughly the same given the former is wider than the latter.)
(Okay, so now I'd like to know how you upgrade a kitchen that already has everything that can possibly fit in one designed for a runabout-sized ship.)
Me 3/4ths of the way through the second episode: "This will be a day long remembered - it has seen the end of Akaar, and will soon see the end of J'mpok."
(And cleared it with the original designers of the ship, because the tech base on it may not be compatible with whatever kind of drive that is. Also, has Alex met Donovan yet?)
That might've been true decades ago, it is not true today - modern computer components are DESIGNED to be overclocked - that's why all companies that have their own tuning software for things like CPUs, GPUs, motherboards and so on all include overclocking as a standard feature.
