Alex: You couldn't tell from the accent? I know having a muzzle and an esophagus designed for more...guttural sounds makes me sound like someone with stage 4 lung cancer, but I should think the Wiltshire still shines through.
I believe they rejoined the Federation at the end, though - or at least they were talking about it. I don't know, I haven't seen S3 yet - waiting to see if it gets a nice discount on the 21st-22nd, assuming it's actually out on DvD/Bluray...it ought to be.
Alex: Nope, just needed a quick moment. (He could fit on the Lexington, but I guess even the very relaxed standards aboard that ship would be too restrictive for him.)
*Alex waits for several seconds until Donovan is out of hearing range, then mutters* When did I suddenly start getting all the strays? That's supposed to be Krystal's job.... *he then jogs after Donovan, quickly catching up with him*
Oh, I can tell you exactly why regional pricing vanished from EGS - people were abusing the hell out of it to get zen for prices far less than they should've been.
Yeah, saying Orions are plant men/women because they can gain energy and nourishment from sunlight is like saying the Protoss are as well, because they ALSO gain nourishment from sunlight.
I was more referencing Daniels' line from https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11014053-%22you-can%27t-go-home-again%22 about too much alteration to timelines triggering universal collapse.
Yeah, what they don't tell you is the universe is one major temporal incursion away from all timelines unraveling and sending the universe into its death throes via entropic maximization.
Alex: Well, I figured you might prefer the added security since whatever ship you came on might end up leaving at any moment for reasons unknown to anyone but the captain of that ship, whereas I have no intention of leaving until the commander of the task force returns from her mission (THAT MEANS YOU, RATTLER!!!) and even…
The transwarp drive never worked, though, nor could it travel through time - which is, I presume, the whole reason everything relating to it and Discovery was classified to begin with, so Control wouldn't be able to duplicate the drive and use it to follow Discovery - plus the whole issue with misuse of the network having…
(Hot tub? Did I include a hot tub? I don't remember including a hot tub.) Alex: Well, assuming whoever it was doesn't go off somewhere and get their ship blown up, it should be safe there - if need be, we can always have the shuttle transferred to my ship, since it has more than enough room and the shuttle should have an…
(Well, he still isn't - he's captain of someone else's ship) Alex: Well, let's head off. *he pushes off the bulkhead he was leaning against* Did you come here via transporter or shuttle?
Alex: Well, we should move the interaction to my ship - it's sovereign Lunari territory, so if TIC comes sniffing around, they won't be able to do anything about it...and maybe you'll run into the other protectee I picked up a few weeks ago.
Alex: You'd have thought someone escaping from a nuclear wasteland would bring entertainment with them...at least a book - unless you're one of those who uses knowledge as toilet paper.
I personally don't mind if they decide to not remaster their older games, because the community's already doing it for Daggerfall and Morrowind, via Daggerfall Unity and MWOpen, respectively...I just wonder if any group's planning community remakes of Arena and Oblivion. And as for older Star Trek games - if none of them…
Alex: I...actually don't know - I was just wandering aimlessly until I overheard that woman - and as old as this station is, it probably doesn't have a holodeck we could waste time in...at least not one that can do anything more advanced than provide holographic targets for combat training.
Alex: Don't take my word for it...Einstein's the one who came up with relativity - anyway, we should probably move...standing around doing nothing but chatting for 20 minutes tends to get odd looks, even in this century.
Which works fine when you're making an exact copy of a lower tier console for a T6...doesn't work when the console is completely different on the T6 version - and they can't say passive stats is a T6-only feature, because a small number of T5< consoles have passive stats.
That's why Daggerfall Unity exists - people were tired of how much frustration trying to get the original version to work caused...and Bethesda shows absolutely no interest in remastering any of their old games, so the community has to do it themselves.
