Reactor explosions don't release an EMP either - it's not a nuclear explosion in ANY way, just a conventional one that sprays radioactive debris all over the surrounding area.

Which in itself is ridiculous, because nuclear reactors of any type can't cause a nuclear explosion - if they could, incidents like Chernobyl, Three-mile Island or Fukushima Daiichi would've been far worse than they were.

TUC wasn't a super cloak, though - it still had drawbacks, like not being able to fire energy weapons, leaking ionized plasma that could be tracked and no shields as with regular models...the Scimitar's cloak was the Mary Sue of cloaking devices.

Maybe they only apply that rule to ships that aren't truly iconic - because no matter what show or universe they're from, a Constitution is a Constitution, and same for the D7. Though...that rule means both the Akira and Prometheus could be considered, because they both have at least 2 variants.

They need some real horror for Friday the 13th and Halloween - something psychological that will freak people out about some thing or another the same way Pet Sematary made me feel about my cat for several months.

Maybe ask for designs that have clearly defined fores and afts, then - and if the people you outsource to fail to deliver, send it back and tell them to do it over...and over and over and over again, until they get it right.
