(*still juggling kittens* don't mind me - just getting in some practice also, if anyone knows anything i might've missed...https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1249862/list-of-all-virus-plaguelike-things-in-sto i know you all like to experiment, so you might've stumbled across something i haven't)
i suppose the bluegill stuff could fit given my (rather poor, admittedly) definition, but none of it is available to players - and i probably should have mentioned it in the initial post, but i'm mainly looking for things players can use
plaguelike = spreading from target to target and weakening it in some way - like structural analysis or nano-infestation/nanoprobe infestation or dealing AOE toxic damage from a biological source - like active immunity overload
PTSD does not randomly occur...it needs a trigger event - in this case, contact with the borg the reason it doesn't show up through most of TNG is because most of TNG didn't have borg in it
he DIDN'T recover - they make it very clear in i, borg and especially in first contact that he hasn't recovered from the trauma...though any sign of it was suspiciously absent in descent
rakesh: yes, his problem was he wore glorified pajamas and kept getting into brawls with opponents twice his size...have you ever tried to wrestle a gorn and come away with NO damaged clothing whatsoever?
rakesh: well, if we're going to go, let's head there - i might as well see if garak can do some repairs on my uniform; being part of a warrior culture means your clothing tends to decay far faster than in peaceful cultures
oblivion is 3 years older and it had on-the-fly vertex manipulation - probably had texture swapping capability too, but whether it actually had the feature itself in the engine, i don't know
you would think with how far character generation has come for RPGs...we would not still be seeing the exact same appearance for any given class of unit texture swapping and vertex manipulation was created for a reason!
