I chose exploration missions, but the choices I really want weren't included, which are: 1) Bug fixes Bugs are rampant in this game, and the only reason I log in are to do R&D projects. I complete the ones that finish, start new ones, and then log out. Rinse, repeat. The main reason why is because there are far too many…
I agree. But that hasn't always proven true. EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hater. I'm also not a fanboy, either. I'm somewhere in between; that position can fluctuate depending upon a lot of different factors. In which direction that position will move is dependent upon what happens in the near future.
Crafting is near and dear to me, so I'm keeping a very watchful eye on what's being updated on Tribble. There are differing opinions going on in this thread, and I like hearing both sides of the coin. Each side has an argument that I honestly get, and it's helped me think about my opinions and what's going on. Clusters: I…
It can't be stressed enough that people need to listen to the podcast. It alleviated a lot of my concerns. With that being said, I'm still going to follow the Tribble patch notes, log on Tribble and see it for myself, and tell the devs what I think. Some of it will be positive, other parts will be constructive criticism.…
I was very much pessimistic at first, but these patch notes look pretty substantial. I'm gonna patch Tribble again and check out these changes. It looks like some pretty neat items are available for crafting. This is what I was hoping for, something that you had to grind! I REALLY enjoy the crafting grind. Always have. I…
I'm not sure. A part of me is thinking that gold items are better than ultraviolet, and definitely more rare. My guess would be like "master" level crafting. When you get to max crafting, you have access to a few gold level items. That's purely a guess on my part.
Listening to podcast now, and I can confirm that. He specifically mentioned that it's 'not a beta' as well. I'm cancelling red alert, but I'm gonna stay at yellow alert for now. I want to make sure there aren't any "random" cloaked baddies hanging around. ;)
I'm not lamenting the loss of the start clusters, truthfully. The only time I ever went in there was to farm samples before they introduced unreplicateable materials. Once they brought those in, crafting was dead to me and I never went to another cluster again. This crafting revamp is ensuring that I never touch crafting…
"Yay" is right. 5 minutes for a Mk II item is ludicrous. 5 minutes for a Mk X or XII item seems much more realistic. One hour is insanity. Already disabled on mine! Yeah, that's something that I will never ever use. I'm going to quote this one more time. When I played Dark Age of Camelot, I spent days making my Blademaster…
This would be an acceptable use of dilithium for crafted items. Lower quality items have a lower dilithium cost, and the higher quality items will have a cost more in line with fleet items. Plus, we get to choose our modifiers. Crafted items still need something to make them stand apart from other items, including fleet,…
I have always been a crafter in every MMO I've ever played. When I played Dark Age of Camelot, I had a character who was a legendary weaponcrafter AND legendary armorsmith. My ex-wife, who was a legendary spellcrafter, could choose what the exact stats were that we wanted on each item and spellcraft them. it wasn't random,…
I completely agree. I have always been a crafter in every MMO I've ever played. When I played Dark Age of Camelot, I had a character who was a legendary weaponcrafter AND legendary armorsmith. My ex-wife, who was a legendary spellcrafter, could choose what the exact stats were that we wanted on each item and spellcraft…
Devs, please give us at least a slider for sample conversions. A one click converts all option would be better, but at least a slider will save me the carpal tunnel from clicking "buy" on the literally thousands of samples I have stored away on my crafter.
Great pic! I kinda like that it was with a frigate. New players will see that even the starter ships can be cool. Plus I just always liked the Centaur class, I think it's a cool design.
