You cant really buy items in this game so you also do not own anything here. Cryptic/PWE is always free to change things or simply take them away from you. Check the terms of use. Its the same in every such type of game.
The machine is fine, you're just using the wrong algorithm. It's good to grind down Doffs, but upgrinding is simply too expensive compared to exchange prices. And then there is still the gamble to get a usefull profession or not.
1. STO doesnt have level zones, everything levels with me so I effectively never get low level gear that I could list. 2. Exchange slots are limited and the handling is a hassle. Worthless items are just not worth my time or the slot especially as chances to actually sell them are low. 3. STO items have no easy percievable…
Oh yes, so much this. How for gods sake could they have come up with that EWC trait? Nothing by far profits more of it than beams only FAW builds and what was by far the top tier at that time already? Not to mention it came with two already in use effects but both come broken and before they even fixed it they already…
Yes, you can reduce the drain but difference is often: it drains 150% or 110% of your shields... The beam doesn't need to be sustained, its fire and forgot, so moving out of arc or blocking target lock doesnt help either when its already on you. Very useful is some kind of fast regen like TSS. It gets drained again, but…
If the games input would be anywhere near reliable I could at least read while playing in dense situations but surely not type messages as my key inputs either go to chat line or action bars (different story with a Naga or the like). Experimenting these things is often also wasting time. Many people happily do that with…
TB isnt a simple debuff so debuff cleases wont help (Ico shield, WCE doff, hazard emitters). Aux2ID doesnt work either*, TB doesnt use 'Repel' which it gives immunity to. Pilot spec Reckless Abandon (? definately Tier 1) adds an immunity to Evasive. *Edit: it does buff the very same stats that TB debuffs though and thereby…
Then maybe you should focus your discussion around that instead things you are clueless about. This part is very true and there are countless examples where you can effectively bypass any difficulty with just a bit more DPS. Your problem is very simple, you want to discuss strategies, try out things and coordinate your…
Some of them are bugged since ages, just go to a different. when you find a spot with two adjacent working ones better stay there, respawn is very fast anyway. You can only free them after they lowered the shield. Go close to it and wait for the popup.
I meant the EC value. But apart from very seldom drops of kit modules in reasonable quality or consumables there is simply nothing useful in the drop tables at all. I only loot the bags because mission items drop the same way :(
There are no special targets for turn rate. Get as much you feel good with. And dont look on turn rate while standing still, it needs some throttle. Your power transfer rate is great already and beyond what most people accumuate. There are also not many options to increase it further.
My biggest problem with that circles is the stupid activation queue. I start sprinting out and it gets immediately interrupted by the next shot issued long before putting my sprint on cd. Nah, we just chase on, steaming barrels, rost everything within seconds. Well, if I'm in a ground team at least. The Defiler charge is…
To OP: You mostly want your Kemo procs and debuffs, the torp dmg itself isnt that interesting. So no problem adding TS+Kemo and one torp without changing skills somewhere.
The first two have very different attributes and uses. ET gives a flat heal and repairs subsystems. Its reactive, so you hit it after taking dmg. Can be enhanced with doffs to reduce cd. Aux2Sif scales with aux power (at medium aux the heal is about equal to ET) and gives next to heal also DR. The additional resistances…
Just a sidenote: your concussive tachyon emission is still the strongest ability in this STF. Just use it when the boss has disappeared and the rifts spawn. If 3 or more people do that you can effectively finish that phase instantly and go on hitting the boss.
For ground shields there are two best ones: Omega and Shattering Harmonics, both due to their 30% (40% at MK XIt) dodge. If you decide to not go with them the only good reasoning performance wise would be for set bonuses and The fleet shields have non, so... The Advanced Recoil Compensating Armor is the to-go for high DPS…
A very good article and no need for me to go into detail. Just one thing I want to grab up as there was right yesterday on sto reddit an article about games QA linked (http://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/3etw1l/a_bit_offtopic_but_heres_a_good_article_on_how_qa/). Let me fix that for you: Its a general misconception to…
Its was fixed back to half broken. But the haste is still not working. If they some day fix it I'm pretty sure it will apply to SS too but no facts available yet.
Its not only reward/time but also time till it launches and then chance to succeed. I would really like to do that Undine assault again, but no else it seems so I dont queue for that either. With current settings I would also not queue up for BHE. Likely we will do the whole STF up to the end and then fail.
Also it would fail as long there is such a descrepancy in difficulty. While most elite missions are close to 100% success rate even in mediocre teams, some are far over the top and every now and then fail even in strong teams. Best example are both Hive missions. The idea itself isnt that bad the games just not ready for…
Had a bit part in the pre discussion of that too. The fundamental challenge here is the same as in space combat. Some people deal >10 times the damage as others (even comparing only level 60 players) which makes it hard to balance things around that. Actually I think that phasing (immunity) model is a very good suggestion.…
