Ummm... yeah... So every time a player completes an elite PvE mission you expect Cryptic to hand out Lock Box Ships... I see Cryptic removing Salvaged Tech from the Admiralty System long before that is going to happen.
If my memory is not faulty... current reputation marks are not added to RA and events as optional rewards until a new reputation system is introduced into the game. At which point the "current" marks turns into "old" marks.
Yep. Claimed mine on both of my accounts. Strange that there has been very little impact on the Dil / Zen exchange rate. It was about 273:1 two days ago and the lowest I've seen today (after get home from work @ 6:30pm) was something like 267:1.
Me too... in the evening EST. But I have determined that my disconnects is actually due to my ISP (Spectrum) and Cryptic's servers. While playing STO, I have a laptop on the side to listen to Youtube videos. When I get disconnected from STO eventually the Youtube video also stops playing when it reaches the end of the…
HOW DARE YOU LUMP ME IN WITH THE "UNWASHED MASSES"!!! I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE INDEED BATHED AT LEAST ONCE IN THE PAST TWO YEARS!!! Now with out outrage out of the way... There will be no announcement of an AoD ship pack until after the Cryptic has officially announced the release of AoD itself. So far all we know…
I hate to inform you that the you only get to choose a very rare console the 1st time you play the mission. I believe repeating the mission only rewards rare Mk XII gear.
Installing a 64-bit version of Windows will definitely help. The reason why you were getting the error is because the 32-bit version of Windows will only recognize up to 4GB of RAM... even if you have more than that installed. It is a limitation of a 32-bit OS (operating system). Actual RAM available to Windows will be…
Technically speaking, STO should be able to run with the Intel GM45 chipset which has the Intel GMA 4500M graphics core which supports DirectX 10. It is one of the first Intel chipsets with an integrated graphics core that supports DX10. There could be an issue where not all features of DX10 is supported. Even if STO was…
Well... the good news for EA is that Lucasfilm damaged the Star Wars franchise more than EA ever could by shifting away from long time established Star Wars fans to appeal to the SJW (Social Justice Warriors) crowd. The problem with SJWs from a business point of view is that they are not the type of audience that are going…
Everyone has real life constraint so you are no different from anyone else. Given that Star Trek Online is a F2P game, it is generally not considered a burden to ask players to partake in events to get free stuff like a T6 ship. The amount of time required to do the daily event is not a lot once you get used to whatever…
Nah... I do not think the LTS should be sold on Steam. Steam or should I say Valve takes a 30% cut of anything sold via Steam. That means at the normal price of $300 Cryptic only gets $210. When sale for $200, Cryptic gets only $140 for selling the LTS. If I am going to spend real money on STO (which I do), I'd rather let…
The Delta Recruitment Event was original released back in April 2015. So it was reintroduced 3 years later. The Temporal Agent Recruitment was original released back in August 2016. If Cryptic does not reintroduce that recruitment event by next August, then sure go ahead and complain. Otherwise, it is too soon to complain…
Interesting... I have more or less taken a break from STO over the past 2 weeks so this is news to me. I guess this means my Romulans / Remans can select used T5 and T6 Fed / KDF ships for admiralty.
My primary account is LTS with 12 characters. All 12 are considered active because I rotate through them when I play the game. Typically 3 or at most 4 characters are on rotation per day. However, about 2 weeks ago I decided to take a break from STO. I only logged in long enough to participate in the Arena of SomPek,…
Unfortunately, the featured episode event has ended. Not sure why Cryptic did not remove it yet. Normally, you would be able to play featured episodes as long as your character is at least level 10. The following is an announcement for the 3rd and final week reward for playing the Renegade's Regret featured episode…
You don't even have to complete all the tutorial missions to get the "dohicky". I decided to create a delta recruit on my F2P account since it was created a few months after the original DR event ran. I think it took all of 45 minutes of game play to get the "dohicky".
Zero. Lockbox ships are a cash cow for Cryptic (I personally never bothered with them myself). Once they are opened, they are bound to character... unless of course you delete it at which point the ship is no longer bound to the character since it would not exist anymore... though you do get to keep the Admiralty Card as a…
I would have to say Arena of Sompek since you have a choice of doing "5 and Die", the 20 minute timed version, or unlimited. I had a pretty busy weekend and did not really have the time to enjoy the Arena event so I basically played it once on my LTS account and once on my F2P account. Getting home Saturday night I was…
The one thing you may want to back up is the screenshot folder which has all of your saved costumes. Assuming you saved any of the costumes you created for your characters and Boffs. It should be located in the following directory of whatever drive the game has been installed to. Star Trek Online\en\Star Trek…
I assume you are playing at 1366x768 resolution since the 920mx is a pretty weak GPU. Intel actually do have high end CPUs that have integrated graphic cores that are equal to or more powerful than the 920mx. Intel's most powerful integrated GPU is the Iris Pro Graphics P580 which is relatively close to the performance of…
Before you go out and make your purchase based on the above system minimum recommendation, let me give you a bit of information from my own personal testing of playing STO on 2 different laptops. First of all, yes you can play STO with a laptop that has integrated graphics. However, they will not give what most people…
