TRIBBLE them. If someone is so fragging sensitive that they get offended by a license plate, or anything else for that matter, than they're perfectly welcome to ignore it and move on with their day. It's part of being an adult. ADDENDUM: Pardon me a moment.. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That vile, hateful, slanderous,…
T'Nae and Sela possibly in the same scenario? This is almost certainly going to end in gunfire. Lots and lots of heated gunfire. As for two Admiral "Ripper" T'Naes, I'd like to have the alternate as a crew member. One that provides color commentary during the story line she's involved in.
What I feel makes the premise of the dystopian future in the Power Rangers fan vid is that idea that the good guys lose, and lose badly. Defeated in battle, undermined from within and betrayed from without by the very people they're defending for noting more than base profit and power. Most of them die, other give in and…
Of Signs and Portents. Really liking Kummarke as a starship captain. Everything is new and wonderful to her, it's kind of refreshing. Especially from the perspective of my war-hardened and brutally cynical professional soldier captain. As per the usual though, I found myself wishing for a Renegade Interrupt. I have every…
Ah, good. A new enemy, without all the time-travel BS, and aggressive enough that all the crying from the diplomacy and science crowds will properly fall on the deaf ears of a cold, uncaring military. Feel free to go back to your classrooms. My captains and their crews will be relieved. Wandering Federation space in…
Starfleet SF is essentially the MACOS, with the Omega Commandos being the specialist section of MACO. As a whole though, Feddie-bear "special forces" could be summed up as "The people that are actually militarily competent." Even the bottom-of-the-class MACO soldiers look like SEALS when compared to Starfleet Security.
A mix of humans, andorians, vulcans and liberated borg. There's also a couple betazoids, now that I think about it. Strange thing isn't the composition of races, it's that upwards of 90% are female. And I did not do so intentionally.
Lol. "Protests over production of warship." Idiocy like this is why Sec 31 and MACOs exist. You can thank us for you little bubblewrapped and peaceful existence later. Feel free to take time for another kum-by-ya love in on the nearest holodeck. We're busy.
Yeah. Go the "middle route" like the Federation did with Starfleet. Then you too can have a bunch of gun-shy college interns pretending to be officers in ships that look pretty and take neat pictures, but can barely fight worth a damn while the crew dreams utopian dreams of high ideals as worlds burn and the people they're…
More along the lines of ascended ancestor spirits or exemplars to be emulated, rather than real-deal divine beings to be worshiped. Hand-in-hand with that, the "Celestial Temple" is seen by Mirror Bajorans as a sort of path to enlightenment through virtue. More of an abstract state of being than an actual place.
Would have rather had the shotgun, than an admiralty card (oh, yay!) marks and dil. I get marks and dil in plenty, and cards are meaningless, since by the time you start using them, you have a stable of capable ships to send on missions anyway. Fail event, Cryptic. An utterly pathetic attempt.
I'll grab a few packs, but only for the lobi and mats. If I get a Connie, I'll pick a random ToS lover from ESD chat and give it to them for free. I've already got cooler looking ships.
To an extent is is whats happening. Fan films, made with modern software by skilled users, are in many cases outpacing old development houses like Paramount with better stories and better writing, with near-equal or equal effects, and in many cases, better acting. And doing it cheaper. Part of it is that fans tend to know…
Totally agreed. Though there's a few badass ladies that are exactly that while still pulling off straight-out eyecandy. Using Mass Effect as an example, there's Tali, for one. And Samara, wow. Though a lot of the latter is Maggie Baird nailing the "Lady of War" character.
I love my Tempest. I've got the Valliant, the Hephestus and one of the Andorian escorts in the garage, but the Patrol Escort beats them all, hands down.
So they take countless lives across time, cause massive hardship and destruction to innumerable innocent peoples, and start wars across time...and it's all okay in the end, because happy-fuzzy Trek feelings. BS. Know what I'd like to see at some point in STO (or all of Trek for that matter)? People being held accountable…
Doing so would be stupid, since all Kelvin weapons are stun pistols and sniper rifles, and you need to have a mix of expose/exploit weapons in your team to get the best results. Or you can go total easymode and just give everyone auto rifles of whatever type you like. I'm enjoying the Kelvin weapons. The rifles look like…
I sincerely hope that the new series is based in the Kelvin timeline. One, because it'd be great, fun and enjoyable. Two, it would make people like you squeal like stuck pigs and throw public tantrums akin to those of spoiled children. Even better, it'd also likely chase you away back into your holes so the rest of us…
"JJ ruined trek!!1111oneonelelventyoneone!!11221!!!" Yup. Ruined it to the ground. Went into archives and destroyed the Holy TOS reels, sends stormtroopers out to smash memrobilia and everything. Get over yourself.
