My Linux installation doesn't have these problems, so we can rule out "linux only". I'm on 5.2.13 kernel, Intel integrated. I don't use Steam or any other overlays/launchers, though. I launch directly from the game exe file.
As the others, I'd say 4 GB RAM is going to be most problematic. I played STO on WIN10 and Linux Mint with 4 GB, and it was crashy. Worse on Win than on Linux. Space was tolerable, but ground was murder and crash-guaranteed. After doubling that to 8 GB, STO doesn't crash on Win or Linux (although I have a different distro…
People can appreciate and like a character without supporting their views. While personally I don't find Mirror G that interesting, I do like Gul Dukat. Does it mean I approve of Cardassian Hitler? Nope. I like how the actor portrayed him, and how he was written (as opposed to "evil for the sake of evil" cheap writing). I…
OP, you don't take into consideration cannon boats or builds with frontal firepower. Sometimes, they just stop and sit in place, shooting everything in their cone dead. They are not moving at all, let alone fly around. And before they got into their good spot, there's a good chance they flew there in a straight line. I'd…
Today I won both 2nd and 3rd place (I mean on one character in one TFO). No idea how. Each awarded a MK X gear piece (purple and blue, respectively). No idea what's with two places simultaneously, though. Seems something is wonky with it.
It's a long shot, but do you have the Overload bag in your inventory. I'm not sure about purchases from the Exchange, but I can' buy anything from normal vendors if I have Overload in my inv. Could be the same issue?
I'm not sure that's what makes the difference, but my game is installed in /Program Files (x86)/Star Trek Online_en/. I created a shortcut on my desktop for the exe file, and it works without any problems. What kind of error do you get exactly?
You can install through Arc, but then make a direct shortcut to your GameClient.exe (or something like that) file, and run the game without Arc. Works for me, also Win10, although Home edition.
It's possible they crashed. In my case, the game is a lot more prone to crashing on ground than in space, and after I log back in, I'm not locked out with the penalty, so it looks like the game doesn't see the first "crashed" leaver as the first player who left, hence maybe you got the penalty, because the game thought you…
Anything in particular I should do to get them? No mission from Ferra (I went to the SF Academy to check), no mission in the log. Did the fix not work, or I need to get it triggered somehow?
I can't say what could help with Windows, but on Linux the game works on version on Wine 3.1. Higher versions are a bit choppy for me (could be different for you, though), and lower don't render visuals properly or don't work at all. With 4 GB you probably won't get far. I can't get far with 8 GB, and still crash a lot,…
From what I understand, your card could not be supported YET. Mine isn't either. I hope that'll change soon and it's a temporary break from the game.
