If the 'Net Test' diagnostics fails, then that means you can't establish a quality connection to the local network where the 'Net Test' diagnostic server, (and not the STO Servers, which are located on the same local network...) are located. This means that your issue is not related to the STO Servers (which are completely…
Keep in mind that Cryptic/PWE do not handle the financial transfer from your Bank account. Instead, they hire a different financial firm to do the fund transfers, and handle the risks of such things as lack of funds, purchase call-back, or credit card fraud. Then this finance company has to transfer the funds to…
What ever is causing the problem, its not a problem with the STO Servers, as I've had no issues getting into the game this morning... Now off to do my daily Doff & Dilithium grind... Now for people who are having problems, if only we had some network diagnostic information to look at to see what is causing the problems...…
So how old is your system ???? Last Fall, I started having mysterious PC crashes on my Alienware system, (hard crash that would require a system reboot to recover), one of which gave a readable memory fault warning. So googled how to open up the case, took a look inside to confirm the RAM type and location, and while I had…
Just because the 'keys' were still in plastic doesn't mean its impossible for someone else to 'guess' a correct key... At the price that you're quoting for the purchase, its probably not possible to return them for a 'refund', so if some of them worked, (which would be lucky for a discontinued retail product...) then I…
Multiple problems here... 'Trace Route' is showing high Network Latency with the Cogent Boston Hub, so you should open up a ticket with Cryptic so that they can use the information to kick Cogent a few more times to try to get this addressed... Now Hop #2 (Cable Modem, or the node after the Cable modem) is showing a 70%…
Not so sure about this.... The 'Net Test' diagnostics talks to a simple diagnostic server located on the same local network as the STO Servers. If 'Net Test' can't establish a connection to a simple diagnostic server, (so the STO Servers are out of the picture here...) its unlikely the STO Client can establish a connection…
Though have you seen the new universal console that comes with that Kobali Cruiser? And its unbound, so it can be fitted on any ship. This alone justifies the grind for it... (And yes, I had lots of Qmendations left over from last year....)
When you're dropping data packets as soon as they leave your computer, this indicates that something is wrong with your Router, or the cables connecting your Computer to the Router. A 4% packet drop is bad enough to make all the other packet drop measurements unreliable and should be addressed as soon as possible If a…
I just got 400 Qmendations on a 2nd character (and used it to finish up the Sphere Ship Event Project from last year...) so evidently, each and everyone of your characters can do 'Dust to Dust' for the 400 Qmendations reward...
'Trace Route' shows bad network latency at the Cogent Boston Hub... (Probably should open a ticket with Cryptic on this, so they can kick Cogent a few more times to get this addressed...) 'Path Ping' shows that addition to the issue with the Cogent Boston Hub, there may be a issue with the Gateway between Comcast and…
Not to mention, its against the TOS agreement... http://www.arcgames.com/en/about/terms In other words, you can lose your STO account if your caught...
Just because you can establish a connection doesn't mean you can maintain the connection... This is why the Network Diagnostic results are important, as they can provide clues to pointing out exactly what the problem is...
I can get into the game fine, so there's nothing wrong with the STO Patch Servers... You did look at this thread before posting? PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues - *READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING*
I've had no problems getting into STO this morning. So, what ever is causing your problems, its not the fault of the STO Servers. If it was a STO Server problem, then EVERYONE would be having this problem, and this is simply not the case here...
The most likely reason is players who create single member Fleets, just to have access to the additional storage space. Increasing the number of Fleet repositories will only encourage this practice...
Faulty Logic here... If C-Store items could be sold like hotcakes, then the above assumptions would be true. However, nearly all of the C-Store items are not consumables, but instead, are one-time account bound purchases. Because of this, dropping the price of C-Store items will not result in a long term increase in sales,…
Now something that was put in at the very start of the game, but never made into working condition was the PvP Zone on Andoria. This appears to be intended as a melee/bare fist open combat zone for all out brawling. It would also be a good location to move Q's Winter Wonderland to during the Event Season...
