I am having the same issue with a KDF recruit I made last year. The KDF dil refiner does not allow my Klingon recruit to refine the extra 1000 dilithium that I am entitled to as a Lifetime Subscriber. Has this not been fixed/resolved?
Thank you, both of you. I really needed some support in weighing my options, and I didn't want to resort to a permanent change that would ruin something. One of the reasons that the mission was getting ratings right from the beginning was because of its placement near the Dyson Gate to the Delta Quadrant. I made it…
Nice entry into the flavor stories of STO. I love that the weaselly Son'a are coming back, and the Jem'hadar experiments are intriguing. An inhumane extension of the things attempted in DS9 series at one point. Just a critique concerning the tlhIngan Hol (Klingon language) used in the story: qablIj HI’ang! Heghlu’meH QaQ…
Yeah, if they EVER let the rest of us who don't have deep pockets have an opportunity to get the T6, I expect it will be through more gamble options, like the Phoenix packs. So, I don't see getting a T6 as a realistic thing happening for my account.
Thanks for verifying it. It really does make the Fed ship look as if it's moving forward, as if some frame blending is taking place. Still, that effect only allow space scenes to take advantage of the distortion, and only if a cloaking device is part of the equation. Ground scenes where shuttles and the like are flying…
As far as the distortion, I guess that makes some sense. However, the Fed ship is still showing motion blur as it moves forward. Additionally, unless the person who created that image can verify in this thread how it was made, no one here can definitely say that no post editing was done.
Okay, well the fed starboard engine looks "slid" around. It looked look an artifact of editing. Also, how was the ship "motion blurred" when screenshots don't capture motion blur. Unless there is something that I am missing in screenshot commands to allow for that?
I can understand not allowing gross editing because that makes the game look more than it really is, however, due to the "flipbook" nature of frames in a video game, screenshots don't capture our point of view as players, only the field of view. Motion blur happens when we focus on, say, a moving vehicle instead of the…
Well, unlike the previous Screenshot Contests that we've all become accustomed to, the rules aren't given in the original post of this thread. I am guessing that a lot of people saw the thread, got excited, didn't see much in the way of rules in the original post (which the original post probably should have done, given…
I asked this on your Twitter, and sent an email, but haven't gotten a response just yet: I assume you are pretty busy and the contest is only one of the irons in your fire. ;) In preserving what the game looks like to the human eye (and not to improve the game beyond what it visually is), I use a minimal linear effect to…
Wow, can't believe I missed it. Must have been under a rock when this was announced, because I am usually ear-to-the-ground with STO news. Thanks for the info. I look forward to the next one!
I would have liked to have participated. Where was this contest promoted? Is another writing contest coming up? That would be nice if it was a regular thing.
Ambassador Kael, I agree with comments that it is insulting to blame the community for the removal of the Gateway. The community has no responsibility or ability to maintain the upkeep or functionality of the app, so it isn't because of the lack of use by the community that has relegated it to the ax. I personally used the…
I have discovered that my mission is possible for any rank level. However, it is, of course, dependent on the player having access to the side of the quadrant the Nerendra Sector is, where the Archer System is located.
I posted a Fed mission this time, but have two missions in the works for KDF. Keep in mind that Klingons did not have much use for science (which they thought was a weak pursuit) and exploration (outside of grabbing new territory and finding new resources to feed the Imperial machine) up until the Delta Alliance. A…
Resubmitting my "Lightning in a Bottle" mission after a spawn point needed correcting and left the player dropping beneath the terrain surface. Did a little proofreading as well and fixed a couple of typos and effects that weren't displaying correctly. EDIT: After some glitch that prevented the update from publishing to…
Thanks. Would be nice to get a good test run done to make sure it's working right. There's only so much I can do in the Foundry editor. My mission requires EV suits in a couple of maps, and optional Floaters on one map, both of which Foundry characters can't get.
Yeah, my mission is published, but it's not letting me play it to test it. I can bring up the prompt and click accept, but nothing happens. No mission appears in the "In Progress" tab and nothing at the Archer system shows up to start it. By the way, the only way I could find my mission was in the Review tab of the Foundry…
I have been hearing reports that Foundry is glitching and that missions are not showing up after publishing, and some that are are not able to accept the mission. I posted mine at about 4:30PST and it's still not showing up. Should only take about 30-45 minutes. Can an submission extension be granted?
Mission Title: [AEI] Lightning in a Bottle Author: @gethralkin1 Faction: Federation and Fed-allied Romulan Level Requirement: Any Level Status: Published Mission Summary: A mysterious signal detected by the crew of the Enterprise 1701-D has come under scrutiny when a probe they left behind begins detecting unusual…
Yeah, a dev I messaged didn't yet know if these currencies are still portable as in the past. I am not deleting them just yet. I want to wait for an official answer first. However, there are only so many slots in the Events window, and I have 1 for the Mirror Universe Agony Rifle, 1 for the Crystalline Spike Kit Module,…
So, I am now unable to get the admiralty ship bc I failed to finish having missed getting the last 2 Voth Operative Transmissions. Two more days and I could have had it. Is there going to be another event that uses the VOTs? Or should I just cancel the "Into the Breach" event that I have queued? I would like an answer from…
