If you have the set and you want an extra engineering slot, try switching to the Strategic version. You get an extra engineering console slot at the cost of one science slot. I…

• I'm currently working on a build that is cross between your options 2 and 3. I have kept the sci functions of the vessel but have switched over to the AP weapons and fleet options. It is a work in progress as the vul consoles and Obelisk hanger pets are next on the upgrade list.
