Aye, I'm not against the concept. The Orions are basicly a race of privateers and the Ferengi are basicly pirates. However the big nations like the Feds and Klingons wouldn't use privateers, that's what the fleet is for.

Actualy no, privateering has been abolished by almost every nation for over a century now. In 1856 52 nations, including all major naval powers except America abolished letters of marque and banned privateers. Read a history book every now and again.

I have it for my Klingon main, bought off the exchange ages ago and it makes my builds cleave like a hot knife through butter. Thing is none of my alts have it and their builds cleave through content like a hot knife through butter. However I am a fan of more ships in c-store and accessible to the casual player.

I use the fleet variant as my main's Disruptor beam-boat. It's a great vessel and one of the few Klingon ships with multiple space barbie options.

Playing around with my new Temer got me thinking. What we could really use is some expansion of the alliance concept, delve into it a bit more deeply. J'mpok basicly nuked Alliance headquarters and shattered everything. Rebuilding that in the face of perhaps Leeta as bad guy could be interesting.
