I have found the culprit: The Agony Dual beam, lock box, phasers. I have now tested 3 ships thru 10 instances (Partols, battlezones, episode msn, TFOs) each. Sad that there was no reach out from cryptic for over 11 months. I post FYI that others may fix, use, enjoy the 12th Anniversary bundle without this headache.

Discovered this bloom thing last week. Voice chat communities say it's been a bug for several weeks/couple months. Sphere of influence & New Rom mission in caves with lava - all have this problem.

Seems this over-bloom is also an issue for all ground mission with lava. ie fighting the Tolians in the caves in New Rom story arc. All my Voice communities say this has been broke for some time [couple of months] - even before the 'enhanced explosions' patch.
