Not only is that false because they never said that, it's false because recent missions like Renegade's Regret prove they can let you play as a different type of character and ship that isn't your own.
Great news buddy; you absolutely CAN buy it! Here is how: 1: check the exchange for the price of the ship (I'm going to say 1bil for example) 2: next, change the selling price of master keys (I'm going to say 4.25 mil for example) 3: take the price of the ship (1bil) and divide by the selling price of keys (4.25mil) the…
Awesome job OP; thanks for sharing! Also, please ignore a certain someone. 99% of their posts are always negative and dismissive in every thread they reply to. I also read the sto reddit and the response to the thread you posted over there is overwhelmingly positive, so the person in question is obviously in small…
Yeah, you aren't going to get any "honest" answers to your question. The previous poster just tried to side-step it with their "zero" answer. But the truth is, we all know calling 6 episodes(great or not) an "expansion" is getting ridiculous. The white knights would defend a 1 episode expansion and still shout "quality…
Actually you are wrong. The *ONLY* part of the TOS that mentions actor likeness is the foundry. Actor likeness use is not mentioned ANYWHERE else in the TOS. The TOS does *NOT* say that you cannot create your own character or bridge officers to look like actors. It only says you cannot do so in foundry missions.
Looks like they are referring to your "boo hoo" comment, which has nothing to do with any "facts". It may not be trolling, but it's definitely being a jerk. I agree you should stop acting that way.
You are speaking from the perspective of someone who has been around for a while. People who have been around for a while either decided to get a LTS, or they didn't. Anyone buying one at this point would be someone relatively new, and to someone relatively new everything that comes with the LTS is also new (to them).
Here is what everyone in this thread, and especially you, is missing: It shouldn't be a choice between 2 bad EXTREMES. It shouldn't be a choice between 1 awesome french fry that still leaves you hungry or a bunch of nasty fries that leave you sick. NEITHER of those are good options. The happy medium is not a single perfect…
Spock didn't die on Vulan or New Romulus, but they put memorials for him there anyway. Memorials often go in completely different places than where the person actually died or was even buried.
As of this post, master keys are selling for 4.2mil. Using that figure, here are some cost updates on popular ships: Kelvin Connie = 280mil 280/4.2 = 67 keys TOS Connie = 1.3bil 1300/4.2 = 310 keys Vanguard = 395mil 395/4.2 = 94 keys Vengeance = 230mil 230/4.2 = 55 keys
"Exploration" wasn't removed. Randomly generated content was removed. Those two terms do not mean the same thing. For example: New Romulus is almost all "exploration". On the other hand, a star cluster mission where you fight the Klingons (a known species) attacking a federation colony (a known world) is not "exploration".…
Listen: you aren't wrong about the game engine rendering colors. But you weren't making that statement in a vacuum. You were responding to someone saying the discovery uniforms don't look correct. And in response to that topic, your response IS wrong, because the game engine color issue has nothing to do with this. As the…
Update: Crossfields are down to 475mil, master keys at 4.1mil. 475 / 4.1 = 115.8 So currently for selling approximately 116 keys you have a 100% chance to get the ship. As stated, the price will continue to get cheaper as time goes on, especially once it hits the infinity box. As an example, the Kelvin timeline Konnie is…
Yeah, I understand you can sell keys individually if you want to. But the person I was replying to seemed to be implying that selling keys would take too long individually, hence my post. And while the majority may not search by unit price, the big sharks do. So if you sell a stack of 99 below market value a shark will…
As of this post there are 6 on the exchange, and the lowest is 1.125. My point in asking that question is the ships ARE on there. That you don't want to spend a chunk of money on a video game ship is perfectly understandable, though.
Not that it's your concern, but I didn't actually spend anything. And even though I sold 200 keys, the price I was able to get the ship for was far below the average yesterday, so I had a good bit of EC left over to play with afterwards. But here is the most important part: I'm happy with my purchase. And that being the…
My goal was not "profit", but simply to get the EC I needed to buy the Crossfield. As I said, I slightly undercut the market, selling my keys for 4.0 instead of 4.2, which resulted in a quick sale. I then took my EC and bought the Crossfield at a slightly higher price than it's going for today, but a pretty low number for…
I can't speak to anyone else's motivation, and neither can you. But I can speak for myself, and I have no stake in the market at this point. I got my ship on day one and therefore have what I personally want. For most people that's all they care about. But I was actually motivated to write this thread after reading a post…
Wrong. I can absolutely buy a Vanguard right now on the exchange if I want to. I mean, it's there. Lots of them. There is no "risk" that I won't get it if I have the EC to buy it. Of course people have to open boxes; that's where the ships come from. But the point is that all of those ships currently sitting on the…
Just one tiny little problem with that logic: the lobi ships. Here is what I mean. Let's pretend that CBS told Cryptic they had to put the Konnie in a lock box because it's from an alternate timeline, and it wouldn't make sense for there to be many in this game's timeline Ok. So the drop rate of the Konnie is very low.…
Yeah, just adding to dave: whether boxes are 'technically' gambling or not is irrelevant to my actual point. If the sole reason you are opening a box is to get a ship, then you are effectively gambling. And if that's what you want to do, cool. I am simply trying to make sure people know that is not your only option, and…
Since I already addressed that false argument in the OP, I'm just going to copy/paste what I said: "Lastly, a common misconception: if everybody who wanted these ships just bought them on the exchange, no one would be opening boxes and there would be no ships for sale in the first place. Here is why that is wrong: first,…
It brings me no pleasure in saying this, but you are living proof of what I was preaching on page 1 of this thread. Buy the keys, sell the keys for EC, then use the EC to buy the ship. 240 keys would have sold for 960 mil (at 4mil per key), and as of an hour ago the Crossfield was down to 450mil(and may be even lower now).…
