  • I have never used a separate launcher... You can start it by "Star Trek Online.exe" without either Steam or Arc
  • While 50/50 is accurate, you have to do both in a single mission. If you just want to focus on scifi ground combat, SWTOR might be a better fit. I love STO, but it is not everything to everyone.
  • They also provide a speed boost to Sector space for the person it was granted. edit: grammar
  • As you probably found out, this happens when Cryptic's fraud prevention system identifies your IP address as authenticating to their systems too many times in a small window. The only way around it is to get a new IP address from your ISP. Doing a release/renew will usually not help if you attach to the internet via a…
  • However, occasionally you can actually use the 'beam up" button. Sometimes it glitches and when you use it, it returns you to the map that you left to go to the base. Same as "Return to Sector". But it only happens very rarely.
  • The comma separated value (CSV) file is found in your \Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live folder

  • The bonus mod for an item at Epic (Gold) quality is a unique special mod that doesn’t otherwise appear, generally more powerful than other mods. These are: Space Shield: [Cp/Rg] Combined capacity/regen boost Space Impulse Engine: [Drv2] Overcharged driver coil, double coil bonus Space Deflector: [SS/SI] Interlaced…
  • Confirmed for all fleet types: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Logging into characters from each fleet type shows a blank panel for the "Holdings" tab.
  • I can't comment on the PSx controller, but I have multiple keybind files that I can load depending on the situation. For example, I reload my main space file by the following: Home "bind_load_file stospace_main.txt" Whenever I press the Home key, it will reload that file. However, you could replace the bind file command…
  • Yes, it will work. If you have account guard active, the computer will need to be listed in both accounts.
  • Seasons are usually released on Tuesdays, not Thursdays.
  • C:\Users\Public\Games\Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live is the location, but you will need a bind file. Look at this guide for detailed information
  • He is using a bind file, it is more powerful than the Keybind options in the GUI. Kaspa, I loaded your config in mine, and while I don't have anything in those tray spots, I received no errors, and shields distributed normally. Granted, I was in the Sol system. However, I did remove the "Down" modifier. Edit: Also Page…
  • You can configure a key to have multiple actions, but you will need to use a bind file, as the GUI interface only allows one action per keystroke. There is a Player Guide for keybinds here.
  • Best of both words... send him to The Island.
  • It is not a Win10 only issue, as my Win7 does the same thing. However, I would love to know how to save the priority, unless you are referring to an add on application or using the command line to start it. edit: Interesting: The launcher runs at 'normal' priority. However, using the command line to set priority does not…
  • Absent of new tech... at least put the flags in a single row!
  • Is it actually Epic? You can apply multiple tech upgrades to an item going from UR to Epic, and the actual upgrade process will not actually make it Epic. Mark increases are guaranteed, but rarity level is not. It is a gamble for a rarity increase, shown by the percentage at the bottom of the upgrade screen. You will only…
  • Have you checked the rewards from Assimilated?
  • I have been here so long that my "Join date" is actually a full four years off I have been here so long, I remember my fleet discussing, after they were announced, which STO game to buy for the specific exclusives I have been here so long, that I remember when the scanner didn't point you in the direction you were supposed…
  • Just double click on it in your main inventory... it will go to the R&D tab without an interim bank needed, nor a drag and drop. This also works in reverse. On my main crafting toon, the R&D tab was full and I had to move some to my main inventory.
  • Also, if you don't get the option to "use" them after putting them in your inventory, just change maps.
  • I can't tell you how long ago, because I don't know, but yes, it exists as multiple toons on my account have it completed.
  • While I don't have a K95, it should have come with some software that allows you to map existing keys to the G keys. I feel your pain, really I do. I just put in over 1000 doffs this past Monday. Manually. There might be a way, and I have seen commands that mention incrementing selections, but I have yet to figure it out.…
  • It is the "=" sign that is causing it. The command interpreter can't parse it, and I don't know the escape character to make it accept that character. However, it does accept "=" if you put it in a bind file. Regarding the left/right mouse click moving forward, you can either unbind "Mousechord", which would give it no…
  • Isnt' this the same/similar to the reputation system?
  • You don't have to install it... just copy the folder where it resides to your new computer... for example : C:\Users\Public\Games\Cryptic Studios Make a new shortcut to the Star Trek Online.exe file, and you will be golden. Even if it is an old version, it will patch up the latest, without requiring ARC. I have done it so…
  • Different accounts... that account only has one toon, never used the exchange, and still gets spam.
  • Maybe so, but I have an account that has never purchased anything from the exchange, or put anything on the exchange, and have still gotten spam. So, they have to be getting it from another source as well. Possibly the gateway?
