Cryptics inability to fix bugs im a timely manner. Exchange is broken since months. Can't filter for rarity. Romulan boff console bugged since it exists... and so on.
Getting a basic set of abilities as career choice and then adding "command skills" as one levels up(same for all careers) could be a way to solve this.
Tor'kaht with 5/3 weapons layout, sci ensign. or Rotarran type of BoP. Bit larger then B'rel but not as big as a K'Vort, heavy wing cannons (disruptor version of the Kumari guns)
Most Cryptic designs are just fugly. Non functional, over exaggerated lego TRIBBLE. Not a single one comes close to original designs such as the Galaxy, Vor'cha or Valdore. There are a view exceptions however. Fed: Kumari/Charal/Khyzon KDF: SuQob Romulans: Daeinos Actually, I have to correct myself. The Daeinos is as good…
Tor'kaht is obsolte. For cannons, the Mogh's 5 forward weapon slots win. For beams, the Mogh's boff layout wins. Plus, the Tor'kaht is TRIBBLE for people with multiple chars. No t5 c-store version -> 4 fsm for every char.
Hm, indeed. You need to be in a fleet. An then you can buy with fleet provisions from your own fleet items from the fleet store of your host. Damn, that's complicated. Guess one more "incentive" from Cryptic to get people to play the way Cryptic thinks is best for them.
I'll add my opinion about the Romulan set. I absolutely love it. But, only on a Romulan ship or a Klingon Bird of Prey with a tac captain. The Romulan engines come with an attack pattern bonus. It is quite noticeable for decloaking alpha strikes. However, the set is not made for tanking. The shield capacity bonus just…
Yep, that bugs me, too. As icing on the cake DBB should be displayed as one phat beam. It has been done for the Galor, therefore it should be possible for all Vor'cha versions, too. I would immidiately drop my torp and replace it with a dbb.
Yep teamwork. And a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. So, do you want to fail your team ? I for my part have some issues with cannon ships in storming the spire. Therefore I would like to have a system put in place that allows me to improve my favourite ship to get the job done. Maybe the Dyson T2 torp will…
I PvP a lot. Just not in a game that's centered around items, items, more items. I'm lazy. PvP would require a different boff layout, other doffs and farming for some "must have items". STO is great for some lazy PvE and the social part of mmos.
No I say this because it has the perfect boff layout... for an aux2battery BFAW spammer. Excellent ship, prolly best layout for pve atm. But, I prefer to use cannons with my Klingon. I consider myself lucky I couldn't buy it the first time we got to see it. Otherwise I would have wasted 4 perfectly good fsm.
Cryptic is an entertainment company, not a charity. Obviously they do STO to make a living and please their overlords. I would pay for content, just as I buy a book or go to the cinema for entertainment. But good storyline content is expansive to produce and doesn't sell as good as shinies. Or even better, shiny lottery.…
Well, the latest "whining" came from the KDF. Now the red team get's the exact copy of a ship the Federation didn't need in the first place. (90% of them use the same BFAW setup as the fleet assault cruiser/ regent) Instead of getting a "counter", the red team get's a copy. :( Ah well, I still hope the stats we saw by…
I don't really regret any purchase I made. The one ship I didn't use that much is the Guramba. The build in beam overload IV didn't really convince me.
There is nothing to "learn" for the Avenger. Most people fly the Avenger exactly in the same way as their Regent/FAC. 100% identical boff layout possible. Just move one beam from stern to bow: done ! As long as bfaw spam is the most efficient pve setup, this won't change. I can't speak for other people, but I don't want to…
Oh, I *must* buy the Avenger clone ? So nowadays the Klingon engineers have to copy a Fed ship if they want to build a proper battlecruiser. Seems they are a bunch of amateurs with no experience in designing and building battlecruisers at all. Guess if there ever is a new BoP it will be a clone of a fed "raider" released…
I would buy a K'Vort destroyer or an upgraded (5/3 weapons) Tor'kaht for my KDF tac. After that, a Regent for my fed engie and an Aventine for my fed sci captain are on the shopping list.
People used to slow beam cruisers get a ship which gets kinda nimble thanks to saucer seperation. :D People used to nimble cannon boats get the ship with highest inertia ingame. Guess which ship sells better. I testet the triple pack on tribble and was quite satisfied with the command version, but heck, that thing is…
