  • blue: fleet Defiant red: fleet Tor'kaht and fleet Negh'var
  • Well, the Galaxy is one of my favourite Star Trek ships. It is the Enterprise I grew up with. But it is unfortunately total TRIBBLE. As things stand, I have to stick to my Ambassador. The issues have been brought up umpteenth times before, so I won't repeat them. I just want to say I would love to buy a fleet Galaxy that…
  • Klingon science ships ? I think the Kamarag is spot on. Old cruiser hulls withdrawn from frontline duty and modified for their new mission. Enough hull volume to accomodate the necessary equipment for long exploration missions. I have my doubts the KDF would waste resources on a purpose built science ship.
  • I'm quite surprised about the results. 37 fed vs 36 kdf if I counted right. Only trend so far is that people who are planning with two chars will go Reman/KDF and Romulan/Fed.
  • Romulans allied to Klingons is the logical choice to balance the playerbase a little bit. And it makes more sense from a pvp perspective. Romulan ships blend in way better than Orion or Gorn ships for that matter. The Romulans should stay united, not split between KDF and Federation. Lets assume they release Romulan…
  • IF there is a good science focused warbird obviously KDF. Green fleet weapons > yellow fleet weapons for a warbird. Yep, definately KDF if I can find the motivation to grind for reputation, accolades etc again.
  • Romulan freelancer then for KDF. Ah well, one needs to make a living, eh ? At least I get some green cloaky fleet ships this way. Just in case there are no good ten console warbirds... House of Duras, I'm coming !
  • I'm holding my horses until I see some stats. If warpcores are getting introduced then I guess Klingons get the TRIBBLE ones, Fed the good ones and Rom the pimp ones.
  • Dunno, people really appreciate the presence of my Negh'var or Tor'kaht. As much as I appreciate the presence of every well flown bop, raptor, destroyer, science ship, cruiser or carrier. :P
  • Romulans. Ah well. I think the House of Duras should negotiate an alliance with Sela. Romulan warbirds are the perfect addition to the fleet. They blend in way better than those non cloaky Orion or Gorn tincans. Plus they can add the science ships the fleet is lacking atm. New Farmville, err Romulus. I just think D'tan…
  • I don't think so. They turned the B'rel into a cowards torp bomber. I want a canon BoP I can fly as gunslinger. Not some fugly cryptic design. And what would be better suited as a counter to the Kumari ? I mean super heavy wing cannons... ask a random Trekkie which star trek ship is defined by massive wing cannons I bet at…
  • Check the doffs you got. If you got the right ones you can start producing very rarey MK XII consoles from empowered alien artifacts. Making hundrets of millions in the process. With that money you can buy whatever shiny toy you want off the exchange. Otherwise you just learned you lesson. ;)
  • Valdore/Norexan. Romulan singularity harness, Romulan prototype space set, Romulan plasma-disruptor DHC's. ... but only if I get a model that looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r53ox6DhyC0 ;)
  • Now obviously I'm playing here devils advocate but you bought MK XI phasers. Comparison with other MK XI/XII phasers told you they are called Mk XI but have the stats of Mk XII phasers. Therefore you bought them. This was based on the assumption the error was in the name, not in the stats. You were wrong. At first I…
  • People face it: you gambled. You bought Mk XI phasers with stats of Mk XII phasers. Either (1) the stats where wrong or (2)they were labeled wrong. As we know now alternative (1) is true. Since you bought an virtual item with ingame currency (dil) you are not entitled for refunds. Covered by Eula etc. The ****storm is…
  • Spirals are fleet level weapons with 4 modifiers. My first thought was the upgrade option would add a 4th modifier to the Andorian phasers. Ah well. Should have known better.
  • Somehow I'm really happy I avoided this scam. I guess the proper way of correcting this error is just keeping them as they are and renaming them to Mk XII. There are not that many reasons to go for them anyway. If you have a fleet, fleet phasers are better. Even without a fleet, Mk XII phasers from exchange are easier to…
  • It can't fire torpedoes while cloaked. It decloaks, fires torps and then automatically cloaks again. Only issue I have with the B'rel is the craptastic fleet version.
  • If you ask a random Trekkie: which star trek ship has heavy wingtip cannons ? Would they answer Kumari or would they say Bird of Prey ? TLDR: gimme K'Vort. GIMME GIMME !
  • So are pretty much all consoles with a 3 min cd. In the end I see it as a good thing. I don't like phasers, so one less reason for me to stick with that damage type. Until my fed fleet reaches t5 engineering in about a gazillion years.
  • They are just blue phasers. Not as good as fleet advanced or fleet elite phasers.
  • nvm, fail answer
  • I picked the Charal, too. Andorian/Aenar captain, boffs and crew. The heavy cannons the ship comes with are great, but I don't like Phasers. With a set of fleet phasers it has sufficient firepower, and I could tank a tac cube in KASE long enough to kill it. No idea if I ever test the tac version, since I have no idea what…
  • Actually I see a good thing in all those bugs. The ship will get a bad reputation and because of this only die hard Andorian fans like me will fly the thing when all the bugs are fixed. :P
  • Yep, all variants have individual components. I settled for most of the engineering variant + wings and wing cannons from tac variant.
  • Well, the quality of the special abilites makes it easy to drop the wing cannons and go for a better damage type. All of them quite underwhelming. Guess I stick to my plan for plasma weapons. Ship looks good, but I guess I'll switch back to fleet Prometheus/fleet Defiant and use the Kumari just for solo PvE. And lol at Mk…
  • I'm quite excited the ship I waited for so long finally arrived. Kumari version is a strange beast. The ensign on fleet defiant was already more of a waste than an asset. Phasers on it. Andorian phasers- remains to be seen if they are any good. If they are just blue phasers weaker than fleet versions I guess I will stick…
  • I googled for pictures/info of the Andorian battlecruiser Kumari. Found a discussion on STO forum about the "soon to be released" ship. This was the point were I finally decided to give it a try. Two or more years ago.
  • Same here. I didn't play for about a week, then when the patch was available, it took one hour to log in. Did the mission. Couldn't complete 3 times in a row. Went to bed quite pissed. By now I completed the mission with one Klingon and one Fed char. Have to say I'm not really impressed by the competence of cryptics dev…
  • There are good and there are bad ships. Why do you want 5 tac consoles on a crappy hull ? Make this one a heavy bird of prey (read K'Vort) and you may actually get a 5 tac consoles ship with a turning capability. Btw, we do have a 5 tac consoles fleet ship. Fortunately I've forgotten the name of the fugly spacewhale.
