Thanks for looking into this, Crypticgadfly. I have just seen a few instances of this, one with no Entity or enemy ships, and one with no credit given and no dialog displayed after the Entity is destroyed. You say you will patch this next week. Will we be given one more week of the event?
I said I had contacted Steam and they said it was an issue with PWE/Cryptic. You don't seem to have the credentials of either a Steam or a PWE representative, so I will take what I was told by Steam as fact. If you can prove you are a representative of either, then please do so.
CaptainSmirk, purchasing Zen through Steam has been disabled since Steam forced users in Japan (and perhaps other countries?) to use local currency instead of US$, back in August. I have no option to switch currency back to US$ in Steam. The Steam overlay is working. However, when I attempt to buy Zen with the Steam…
No, actually I missed seeing any space bumper cars demonstration in the video. Even if ranges were doubled in STO you could still get within 5 km to fight if you wish. I didn't suggest otherwise. DS9 is not all of Star Trek. There are hundreds of scenes where ships fight at longer but still visual ranges.
Go for it. It's what they did in Nemesis. You should still receive kinetic damage depending on your speed, your target's speed, and your target's mass, ideally. It would look less ridiculous to see you trash your ship bit by bit that way then with the current system where you just bounce off like an Oddy-shaped balloon.
A little birdie said to me the other day that if you have multiples of those and move 1 or more out of the stack, it just might change to BtA, and then if you move it back to the stack, it might just change the whole stack that way. Just remember to say the magic words and do a little dance.
I think this will work. Find: ...Star Trek Online\Star Trek Online\Live\Localdata\Gameprefs.Pref on your computer, back it up to another location (just in case), and delete it. The game should recreate the file. You will have to set your "options" preferences in the game once again.
It will indeed become a major issue when your mailbox gets full (300 messages, I think) and since you can't delete messages, you can't receive new ones - including the messages returning your items from the exchange.
They need to fade the captain into the bridge, not beam him in and out. If he's beaming in and out, where does he beam from/to? It's weird. Just fade him in, or wait to show the bridge after the captain loads. Also, make the Fed bridge officers actually sit in, not hover over their chairs. The Romulans can do it right, why…
