Getting the same thing. It seems to be trying to patch some type of file and crashes while that's going on.

Ok, so what am I doing wrong that I can't even get the configuration window to pop up in POM when I go to 1.6.2?

@thestargaze How were you able to get the 1.6 engine to run on your mac? I can't even get the wine configuration window to come up thru POM with 1.6.2. Would seem to imply that something in my settings or something similar is incorrect. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

I've actually been running POM as Windows 10 and have the same problem. Seems to be similar to what some Windows desktop users are experiencing. Hope they get this fixed.

Not even sure it's one problem. Different problems for desktops versus laptops. Just hoping for some kind of update saying "we're looking into it". Hoping...not expecting.

Been getting the same problem that you have on your desktop. Crashes on the Cryptic screen, then force verifies on reopening the launcher. Guess I shouldn't be surprised an update like this broke the game.

The resolution isn't why there is an emulator. It's because the DIrectX isn't Mac's native graphics processing. I can't imagine that something as basic a screen resolution would be causing that kind of crashing.

Aspyr and Feral still do that for some games, but they have their own problems, mostly delayed releases. MMOs tend to be in-house work only.

Yeah, this has passed from "problem" to "truly absurd". Even just an acknowledgement of existence would be nice.
