Only activate for the first person to use it. Disables it for everyone else until you move farther off. And doesn't extending the shields also weaken them? Yes it offers some protection but not as much as if they were at their normal range.

My biggest beef with this is that fleets will be getting better and enhanced gear. I don't think it's right that though of us who don't want to be in a fleet are being put out in the cold with this. It's like they are trying to subtly force people into joining a fleet or something.

The Oddy bridge is big to the point that it isn't functional. In an emergency you'd have 20 people all screaming at the captain giving him status updates. And you have to pray that the coms stay up because thats the only way any of your bridge stations would be able to hear your orders. Either that or you get get a runner…

Lol, Microsoft can't really perfect anything. Outside of the Enterprise environment they are mostly playing catch up. And even in the enterprise environment they are playing catching on a lot of things.

I'm not surprised. A lot of us were pretty peeved at how the whole thing turned out. We spent weeks submitting ideas, voted on them, had a winner only to be told "oh well CBS liked this one more so thats the one we are going to go with! Thanks a bunch guys!" which turned out to be the Oddy.

Technically I don't know if we've ever seen a Federation starbase actually attack anything. I certainly can't think of any thing on screen. So for all we know there is a whole sat network orbiting the thing that does all the shooting along with the starships they would have assigned to them.
