I took a look at another players walk thru on this mission, It would appear that the object that is supposed to be there is actually in the floor. The top of the object is actually sticking out of the floor, but it does not allow you to access the interactive window being that most of it is under the floor.

I have a main TOS character on STO XBOX and I don't know whether this is a legitimate bug or just something the STO team didn't get around to checking it out however I have noticed that my TOS character once ending up in 24th Century has reverted to using the TNG era transporter instead of the TOS one and I wonder whether this is supposed to happen or not, the PC version doesn't seem to have that issue according to my friend.]]>
