Question about argument to /alias commands

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I recently found that we can create aliases for commands, I'd like to setup a command to quickly send messages to certain channels that I'm in, but just creating an alias for eg.
/alias o /c organizedpvp
returns simply
"O" takes 0 argument(s).
o
when I try to pass a message as an argument. What I intend to do is just write
/o hello
which I would expect the alias to translate to
/c organizedpvp hello
Anybody got an idea how to accomplish this?

Cheers.

I'm thinking that there are probably not very many folks around here that know what it is you are talking about...

You might wanna try to post this in the TECH ISSUES Forum Section.

It looks like we (being LordOfPit and me) found a solution.

Apparently you need to put {} in after your alias for each text string (or argument) you would like to be able to include.

So the example from the first post would work if it were entered as /alias o "ChannelSend organizedpvp {}"

    :)
