There certainly is quite a bit of work going into the shuttles. It looks awesome and I'm loving it, but are shuttles going to become a viable ship type for extended use? As is, I remember seeing the most extensive use of Runabouts from DS9. Sometimes we'd see them do some low level survey stuff and scout around the Gamma Quadrant, but the heavy lifting was done by starships.

he says he is working on one of those too ... it is just in the whitebox detail phase though so not much to look at (except for a bunch of white boxes).

Awsome, Just make sure they put in a console for mission replay, and make it dockable in my ship

I hope they also fix the regular bridges so that BO sit in the seats and not hover.

Turn up the "red" level on your monitor. Voila! Klingon interior. :p

    lol, it's true!

It's kind of annoying actually. I like the green bridges for Klingons because at least then you can see where you're walking.

Its nice, but seems a little on the tall side. (Remember the Runabout exterior in some missions).

But I'm curious if this is going to be a general shuttle interior or we going to see the various cockpits?

I think these are a test for "general all purpose" shuttle interiors that could represent a wide range of shuttle interiors in the absence of specific ones.

I'm kind of glad. I like that you guys are giving interiors to shuttles, but right now, I'd really like to see the focus on more Featured Episodes and things of that nature.

I don't PvE much, but that's pretty cool. Now give us some interesting things to do in those interiors.

Who's to say a Featured Episode won't take place on a Shuttle Interior? ;)

That's like 1/6 of Voyager/DS9/TNG episodes right there.

Will there be enough room for me to close my book and go to the back in order to not have to talk to Wesley?

Scale is nice horizontal, vertical not so much.

Beside that it is a good start, but I will wait for the captain's yacht interior :)

Any ship interior currently does that. ;)

Wow. Either the player is a midget, they're using a Captain's Yacht (which really should be a two-deck thing), or that shuttle interior is blown WAY, WAY out of proportion. There should be barely any standing room in the Runabout, much less that many chairs, a bit less in the Delta Flyer, and NONE in the Type-8.

Any chance for a more "realistically" scaled version of that shuttle interior? The detailing is nice, but the size proportions looks way off. In DS9's "One Little Ship" where the Runabout and it's crew get's shrunken down (and subsequently flys around inside the Defiant), you can see Dr Bashir (6 feet tall) standing pretty much directly under the shuttle ceiling when standing up near the forward consoles.

I think the main thing for me that's throwing off the size, is that the chairs look pretty oversized, and the ceiling is still quite a bit higher than it needs to be.

As for other interiors, please reduce overall ceiling height in all Player Interiors by atleast 15%. Walking into the crew lounge, feels like walking into an auditorium.

Wow, it looks great! Looks very 25th century runabout.

Can't wait to see these in game :)

It depends on which episode you watch:

Pay attention to the TNG Timescape scaling (Picard is roughly 1/2 the height of the aft portion - where Geordi is sitting and drinking tea)

I don't see a proper scaled Shuttler interior happening though, considering the camera issues in the game.
I do know that the Devs hope to bring Bridges down to more reasonable scale, but there is still a lower limit of how small works.

And yet the top of the window is still right about even with the top of his head, and that's in the aft which is naturally going to be taller. The screen of the shuttle in development appears to be the cockpit, which is naturally a shorter area, and the character's head doesn't even clear the middle pane of the window.

Thank you for clarifying. For a general cockpit, I can see traits from the Delta Flyer, the Runabout, and even some from the Captain's Yacht.

So hopefully we will be seeing the specific cockpits sometime in the future. (No rush, I personally rather see bridges tweeked. ;))
