DSE's Nuts!

So lets review shall we?

1. DSE's suck you in, while youre in transit.

A: I can pop out of a DSE, open my window to spend my new SP, and be sucked into a new one, before I even assign them all.

B: Youve been hearing about this since launch. Over a year ago.

2. DSE's have their spawn point mobs adjusted to whatever Admiral happens to be in there.

A: I guess this is SOME improvement... In the past, most of the mobs would level up. But is it really "fixing" the problem, that the ships covering the spawn point are leveled? How does that help anything?

B: Why are there mobs covering the spawn points?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!!!!!

3. When the DSE is concluded, a huge, loose formation will spawn, complete with an enemy flagship.

A: Upon decimating whatever player they spawned RIGHT ONTOP of, the formation will tighten up and fly in something approximating normal for mobs. Sneaky, Cryptic.

B: Why does this fleet only spawn when the DSE concludes? How about midway? Or from the start? Nothing more frustrating then engaging an enemy flagship, and having it ZONE OUT ON YOU because the DSE has started over.

4. DSE mobs are acting incredibly erratically lately.

A: Ive been noticing in the last few weeks, that DSE fleet compositions are starting to get out of hand. It is becoming all too common (In the Sirius and Regulus Sectors, anyway) to see two, or three Neg'vhars, being "escorted" by two cruisers, three BOP's, and maybe more.

B: Im not sure what behavior it is at work that is causing these high powered mobs to hang out in the same fleets, and those same fleets to be within agro range of at least two other fleets of similar composition, but seriously? We need that like we need a hole in our plasma coolant tanks. There is nothing more frustrating then having to fly around a DSE, AVOIDING the enemies, since you have no chance of defeating 4 capitol ships, and four-six escorts.

Personally, I kind of like the DSE's. The only time I have a problem is when some +45 ships, (Admirals looking for Accolades??), beam in and get the NPC's to call out the big guns. If that happens, I just look for another instance, or do some patrols and then come back.

The Flagship groups are a great test of skill, and I like taking them on with a couple of other players. Fly past at an angle, and try to get one or two of the support to peal off and follow you, then go back for more when they are done. With several people working together, you can get the Flagship too.

They are taking out/changing DSE's. It's well known they suck as is. People just want little things done first, like oh...the foundry, ground combat changes, ya know minor fluff. Then they can fix DSE's.
